  1. 0:00Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, welcome, welcome, welcome to another edition of Alien Eyes.
  2. 0:11Mental hygiene with meditation and prayer.
  3. 0:18Now, as I speak about mental hygiene, you may wonder what is that?
  4. 0:24Well, you know what your mental is and some, or at least most, may know what hygiene is.
  5. 0:33But some do not.
  6. 0:39But for simple terms, it's the cleanse of your mental mind, your inner body, your inner soul.
  7. 0:50Wash your thoughts and clear your mind just like you have to clear your laundry.
  8. 0:57Wash, dry, hang it up, fold it up until it's ready to be worn again.
  9. 1:07Buy a hand-me-down store or donation-based store.
  10. 1:13You have to wash it, a thrift store. You have to wash it before you wear it. At least you should.
  11. 1:19You don't know how many people tried it on and where their life has been before they did.
  12. 1:24So just like your mind, I speak a lot about sitting in silence.
  13. 1:31And I challenge you all, at least for ten minutes a day, to sit in silence.
  14. 1:37Do nothing. No background noise. Isolate yourself. Have that time to yourself.
  15. 1:44Wash your soul. And I like to do that with meditation.
  16. 1:51Try to silence what I call my monkey mind. My thoughts be everywhere, jumping everywhere.
  17. 1:59Thinking a million miles per hour, a trillion times sometimes.
  18. 2:04I clear out, hopefully, quite a few thoughts.
  19. 2:11I'll start with a blank slate. A fresh sheet of paper.
  20. 2:15One thing, but I have to clear my mind first.
  21. 2:24Apreneur and a creative have the honor to be both.
  22. 2:30Yes, an artist, artist entrepreneur.
  23. 2:34You know, my creative mind are always thinking of solutions for problems.
  24. 2:42And now I'm stepping into the coaching role.
  25. 2:45I'm always thinking of solutions to more problems that have arise or may arise in this season.
  26. 2:54And then, you know, the people that I coach their season, you know, in the beginning stages of their business,
  27. 3:03particularly photography businesses, media businesses.
  28. 3:07But I work with all types of entrepreneurs and I have a knack for marketing, branding, you know, visual representation of your brand, your company.
  29. 3:23And, you know, I found myself in a lot of things.
  30. 3:28So instead of saying the same things, well, that's just a testament of why I started this podcast.
  31. 3:35To challenge myself to be better, a better speaker, be more fluent and get my thoughts across very tactfully, very precisely, you know.
  32. 3:50I had to do with speaking from time to time.
  33. 3:54Now that I stopped performing, which is, you know, another form of, you know, is more arithmetic.
  34. 4:03But to progress in that, that's one of the birth reasons of the podcast, the reasons it was birthed.
  35. 4:13Also to journal my entrepreneurial journey, my creative journey as well.
  36. 4:21And to assist other, you know, beginning entrepreneurs, beginning creators, especially in a media business, a general business podcast, helping entrepreneurs and small businesses.
  37. 4:36I'm in a media space, so a lot of this will kind of be biased to the media, but, you know, you can grab some jewels in this space.
  38. 4:47Or even if you're working with a media company, you may want to, you know, get a feel of how a media company may work.
  39. 4:53This would be a good opportunity for you to tune in and gain some insights.
  40. 4:57And now we think, or you book us, or, you know, if you're going to book me directly, you can reach me at alien eyes photos dot com.
  41. 5:10That's alien eyes with a Z, photos with a S dot com, alien eyes photos dot com, like the eyeballs.
  42. 5:23Aliens on my website, especially videos.
  43. 5:26I got a link to my photography portfolio. It's honestly outdated.
  44. 5:32So if you like that, you would really like current style. It's about two and a half years old, honestly.
  45. 5:38But I do a lot of work, so I really do not know even though I should, but, you know, a lot of people been liking, you know, my older work and, you know, I've progressed.
  46. 5:47So they, you know, see their finished product and it's like, wow, okay, that's definitely a step up.
  47. 5:54So, yeah, it's another reason I kind of do that. It gives them that wow factor.
  48. 5:57Like, oh, it's even better than I intended.
  49. 5:59I'm talking to you and, you know, sharing thoughts and meeting in the middle and, you know, setting the expectation on how, you know, for video production, I may say may go or how photoshoot may go.
  50. 6:13We get a clear, actionable plan step by step and what's going to happen.
  51. 6:19And we really talk about the process and what to expect so we can get the final product the way that it should be.
  52. 6:34Sorry about that.
  53. 6:38Really, you know, especially with your brand, you want to hone in on what you're, I want to say selling.
  54. 6:46But in a sense, selling to your audience because you're selling yourself, you're selling your brand.
  55. 6:52So just making sure every message we convey is precise before we do any photography or any video.
  56. 7:00Let's get a general understanding of that.
  57. 7:03Let's bring that to the forefront.
  58. 7:05And that's how we will frame each video or even the pictures.
  59. 7:09I focus on most, mostly events.
  60. 7:12But I do a lot of headdots and portraits and brand and shoots outside of video production and podcasting.
  61. 7:21So it kind of varies.
  62. 7:24I have a wide array of tools under my belt.
  63. 7:29I come from a creative background.
  64. 7:32So I like to blend all that together.
  65. 7:37That's my personal sauce.
  66. 7:38That's my personal style.
  67. 7:39And I've been around for about, hmm, let's think about this.
  68. 7:51Officially in business with my media company, it's 2025.
  69. 7:54But in business in general and having this entrepreneurial mindset, it's close to close to 10 years give or take.
  70. 8:08I was mostly an artist growing up.
  71. 8:10I didn't know too much about the business side.
  72. 8:13I knew I had to learn it.
  73. 8:15My mother used to always say you count those pennies and put them in a wrapper.
  74. 8:20You know, you had that 50 cent penny wrappers.
  75. 8:24I usually really sort my coins out and put them all in line.
  76. 8:30I thought I was going to go into accounting.
  77. 8:31I'm good with numbers. I love numbers.
  78. 8:33I love math.
  79. 8:34But I stick to my creative background.
  80. 8:37I started song writing and then started performing years later after having quite a few studio tracks.
  81. 8:47I have a lot of music, a lot of records that I never publicly release.
  82. 8:52The rough drives, songs that didn't be recorded.
  83. 8:55So many songs that I've written, choruses, ideas, poems, unfinished poems, published poems and books.
  84. 9:03I have In Love Words by Steven D. Jackson.
  85. 9:07That's N-I-N, love, words.
  86. 9:11That's volume one and then also volume two.
  87. 9:14It's all about love, poems and the representation of love.
  88. 9:18Then I have Dark Ages Engraved, the e-book and audio book is available.
  89. 9:27Yeah, Dark Ages Engraved by Steven D. Jackson.
  90. 9:30Kind of has some good celebrity reviews.
  91. 9:35Megan Good was one of them.
  92. 9:37I definitely, you know, that's an honor.
  93. 9:41So, you know, I'm applaud.
  94. 9:43I'm happy. I'm grateful.
  95. 9:46What else?
  96. 9:48As I, you know, clear my mind before I, I'm going to do a short meditation in this episode.
  97. 9:54Actually, I like to do that now before I further the episode.
  98. 10:00You know, I like to start my deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth.
  99. 10:05In with the good, out with the bad.
  100. 10:07Inhale through your nose, out through your mouth.
  101. 10:14Again, into your nose.
  102. 10:31How do you calm your nerves, calm your thoughts?
  103. 10:37Silence your background.
  104. 10:40Silence your environment.
  105. 10:42Silence your headspace and start to relax.
  106. 10:48Take a deep breath.
  107. 11:17Before I finish the episode, I do a quick prayer to higher power within.
  108. 11:28I am grateful for being blessed.
  109. 11:30I am grateful for being alive.
  110. 11:32I am very thankful for my life.
  111. 11:35I am grateful for my existence.
  112. 11:37I'm grateful for my knowledge, my wisdom, my thoughts, my mind, my business, my expertise, my skills, my talents, my charming personality,
  113. 11:48my calmness, my calm mind, my great strategic thoughts, my powerful mindset, my direction of life, my family, my daughters,
  114. 12:02my loved ones, my friends, my colleagues, business partners, podcasting partners.
  115. 12:10I am grateful for LaunchArts Media, which I am here recording in this space today.
  116. 12:16Definitely check out LaunchArtsMedia.com, AllThingsMedia, and I could say also shout out to the podcast and partners.
  117. 12:28And I am honored to be the creative director and producer of The Pull Up Experience, an entrepreneur podcast.
  118. 12:35So if you like this podcast, you will really, really, really love our interview style podcast over at The Pull Up Experience.
  119. 12:44Definitely check out if you're going to number 300.
  120. 12:48And I don't expect you to check it all 300, but if you're up to the challenge, go ahead.
  121. 12:55But you know, we have quite a few ranging topics that we discuss with many people from the entrepreneurial space and different industries.
  122. 13:05And I like to cover different industries.
  123. 13:08You may hear a real estate investor, you may hear an engineer, you know, every once in a blue moon.
  124. 13:16But I like to, you know, focus on business-based industries.
  125. 13:24And I'll say, a man, a woman.
  126. 13:29Yeah, wildly to say myself, I never heard, you know, I have too much positive thoughts in my head.
  127. 13:38I don't have many positive thoughts going on in my brain.
  128. 13:43I don't hear that.
  129. 13:43I typically hear negative thoughts and false beliefs, fear, and everything in between.
  130. 13:51Negative thoughts cause clutter, like literally clutter your minds.
  131. 13:56Filthy. It's so much going on in my monkey brain sometimes.
  132. 14:01It creates division and separation.
  133. 14:05Learn new thought processes.
  134. 14:08Because if you change your story, you change how you live your life.
  135. 14:16If you change your story, you change how you live your life.
  136. 14:21Your thoughts control your actions.
  137. 14:24This is also why we, if we clutter our minds, we lose sight of what is really, you know, needed the most.
  138. 14:37Taking in too much unnecessary information, I may say, unnecessary, key word, unnecessary information.
  139. 14:44Taking in too much unnecessary information and general knowledge that is not useful, especially immediately.
  140. 14:57Compared to what your life considered of the steps that you will need to take or may want to take the desired next steps.
  141. 15:07Having no action is not progressive.
  142. 15:11Focus on the right thoughts to get you the proper action to display those thoughts and actions become positive habits.
  143. 15:21So yeah, the right thoughts will lead to the proper actions for you to display or act out on.
  144. 15:33But first, you should start your positive habits early.
  145. 15:42Start your positive habits early and secure smaller wins first.
  146. 15:47Every day you should bathe, brush your teeth, and put on fresh clothes. At least you should.
  147. 15:55Breakfast is essential and making your bed are simple.
  148. 15:59But early in the day wins that are compounded by positive habits.
  149. 16:05Live the transformation you wish to seek. Live the transformation you wish to seek.
  150. 16:19Going back to those positive thoughts and as you sit in silence, as you meditate, as you calm your body, calm your mind, calm your nerves.
  151. 16:30Take your deep breaths with positive thoughts, positive environment, positive circumstances.
  152. 16:39With positive results and working with me, I will help you get your mindset together before we dive into a higher level coaching program.
  153. 16:56I don't think you can jump right into it, but it's going to cost you.
  154. 17:05I do want to help you guide you in the right direction or to have that, I call it entrepreneur venting.
  155. 17:15Help you talk it out. Sometimes you just need someone to talk it out with.
  156. 17:19But if you want more a year or almost every week, once a week type of coaching,
  157. 17:28I definitely have some programs and plans we can talk about and discuss based off what you need.
  158. 17:41I focus on mindset, on branding and marketing for your business and brand.
  159. 17:49When I used to be an artist in the music and poetry industry,
  160. 17:53now I know how they should start their business and give them different ideas on how they should market different products they could have.
  161. 18:03I love them and see them thrive and really live in their dream and desire and passion and what they really want to do in life, what they're good at.
  162. 18:16They deserve it, but I love working with entrepreneurs in the media space and business have an impact on the public.
  163. 18:28We elevate positive stories, as simple as that. That's the tagline, elevating positive stories.
  164. 18:35I love highlighting brands with positive stories.
  165. 18:42That's just the testament to the pull-up experience, the podcast.
  166. 18:47We're positive stories and as they elevate our audience, they also elevate us and we elevate them as well.
  167. 18:57Sharing ideas and insights and just learning about their journey and story.
  168. 19:05I can say my podcast is a sibling podcast.
  169. 19:11We further the conversation and dig deeper inside your business podcast because we turn inward.
  170. 19:23At the pull-up experience, we bring your story, a little bit of your personality, but with mine we go more deeper, more inside.
  171. 19:34We can talk a little bit of numbers. We can really have a little coaching session live.
  172. 19:39You may be coaching me, I may be coaching you, or we may be coaching our audience.
  173. 19:44We're a little combination of the two, so definitely feel inspired.
  174. 19:53Space, my own mind frame, have calm thoughts as you intake this information.
  175. 19:59Go back and listen to the mindset episodes 1 and 2.
  176. 20:05Number 1 is mindset and expectations, 2 is abundance mindset, 3 is decision-making.
  177. 20:12So I'll wrap you for this episode 5 and also for and also the rest of the podcast.
  178. 20:20As we start to wrap, as near my 23 minutes, take time for yourself as I mentioned earlier on this podcast.
  179. 20:29Don't forget to take deep breaths, especially when you're feeling high levels of anxiety.
  180. 20:34Or before a big task, or before a big meeting, or before public speaking.
  181. 20:40You know, take a couple minutes to you. Really, just breathe in, breathe out.
  182. 20:50Start to focus, focus your mind, silence your mind, silence your ringer, silence your thoughts, silence your environment.
  183. 20:58Declutter your mind.
  184. 21:02And this has been Mental Hygiene with Meditation and Prayer, well received by you.
  185. 21:10Again, this is an audio-based introspective business podcast that's geared towards 23 minutes per episode,
  186. 21:20like the old school TV shows in a 30-minute segment.
  187. 21:25So, if you're driving, on your way to work, on your way to pick up the kids,
  188. 21:30this is a good way to tune into these short but meaty episodes.
  189. 21:34It's only getting better, my speaking will only be getting better, my quality will only be getting better over time.
  190. 21:40As you listen and grow with my progressive journey, you will be developed as well.
  191. 21:47You will be my thoughts, my experiences and skills and wisdom.
  192. 21:52We could grow together and don't be afraid to reach out to collab.
  193. 21:59You can find me at alieneyesphotos.com.
  194. 22:03Again, that's alieneyes with a Z, like an O.
  195. 22:09Photos with an S, alieneyesphotos.com on all media.
  196. 22:16And it'll be linked to the show notes and also usually at the bottom,
  197. 22:22where it says podcast website, it just takes you straight there and you can find my booking information
  198. 22:28if you want to book me for workshops, for conferences, for your event photos or videos.
  199. 22:37I do have a small team that I work with and also my media partners, Launch Arts Media,
  200. 22:43if you really want to get into the bigger productions at Launch Arts Media in Shaker, Ohio.
  201. 22:49And yeah, tune in also to the Pull Up Experience podcast.
  202. 22:56You can find them, Pull Up EXP.
  203. 23:00That's the Pull Up EXP, short for The Pull Up Experience.
  204. 23:03Check out our YouTube channel where most of our updated episodes are,
  205. 23:08as we're still catching up with the audio.
  206. 23:11But that's why I love this audio based podcast.
  207. 23:14It helps me crank it out a little bit faster.
  208. 23:17I think video kind of slows it down, you know, doing both.
  209. 23:21Sometimes I look at the camera today and I'm just like, let's just press record.
  210. 23:26I had some time to relax a little bit before this.
  211. 23:28I promise y'all, episode three I was dog tired, like almost 30 plus hours up,
  212. 23:35no sleep, just working and grinding.
  213. 23:39But I promised to Ebo that there will be times I sound like that, nice and tired.
  214. 23:44And had long days, sleepless nights, sleepless days.
  215. 23:48But I'm still going to push through and give y'all, you know, what I can.
  216. 23:52You know, it might be a shorter episode, which that one was.
  217. 23:56But I'd rather give you a little something, a little nugget of insight or wisdom
  218. 24:01that may help you on your journey, focusing on rest.
  219. 24:06A lot more this year, I promise, I promise you, I promise you.
  220. 24:10But to help me get more rest, you got to book me.
  221. 24:16Yeah, trying to get discounts all the time.
  222. 24:19Because if I'm booked with so many things to do,
  223. 24:23because everybody wants to ask for a discount,
  224. 24:26then I can't really, you know, pay myself, pay my staff, pay my business partners.
  225. 24:33And, you know, travels and gas, my basic needs of life, food,
  226. 24:38X, Y, Z, if those needs can't be met and, you know, taken care of,
  227. 24:44then I'm going to have to do a little bit more work.
  228. 24:48Yeah, so that's going to take time away from me sleeping, resting, and counterproductive.
  229. 24:55And productivity goes down.
  230. 24:59So, yeah, don't be afraid to book me at my normal rate.
  231. 25:04Always ask or look for a discount.
  232. 25:06But I do barter, so that may be a way to cut the price down without cutting the price, you know.
  233. 25:15I will exchange services and, you know, it may be a little monetary and, you know, give me a rest and exchange.
  234. 25:24So that's a way to learn lowering the cost with the barter system.
  235. 25:30Have money, have service, and yeah, I'm big on that.
  236. 25:36Community and collaboration.
  237. 25:38So, yeah, again, if you want to book me, check out ni'sphotos.com.
  238. 25:45And, yeah, I'm here for all things events, whether if you need help setting up,
  239. 25:51and you need help with your audio, of course, your visuals,
  240. 25:55with event photography, video production, video recaption of the whole entire event.
  241. 26:03Events is my niche. I also do weddings, I do coaching, podcasting,
  242. 26:09whether if you need photo documentation or video production for your podcast.
  243. 26:15I will help you with your podcast.
  244. 26:16I have a team that will get your podcast in the right direction.
  245. 26:20Or if you need some guidance for a one-on-one,
  246. 26:24just to get your wheels burning and turning and that fuel underneath you going,
  247. 26:31contact ni'sphotos.com.
  248. 26:34And this has been another episode, great episode,
  249. 26:39of Alien Eyes Photos Media presenting Alien Eyes Photos Industry Talk.
  250. 26:50And this is episode five, mental hygiene.
  251. 26:56Mental hygiene, I love that.
  252. 26:58And, yeah, until next week, until next time, stay blessed.
  253. 27:04Peace, love, and blessings.
  254. 27:08Yes, yes, yes, Alien Eyes Photos Industry Talk five.
  255. 27:15Tell me how you like it, sure.
  256. 27:16Some feedback and follow me at alieneyesphotos.com
  257. 27:21and also my website, alieneyesphotos.com.
  258. 27:26And that's eyes with a Z, photos with a S, Alien Eyes Photos,
  259. 27:35expert photographer Jackson, also Stephen D. Jackson.
  260. 27:40I am signing out.
  261. 27:43I am done under my 30 minutes, but more than 20.
  262. 27:48So my challenge for the day is over with.
  263. 27:51Thank you for tuning in to another episode.
  264. 27:54This has been great. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
  265. 27:58Peace.
