  1. 0:01Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome,
  2. 0:04back to Eleonide's Photos Industry Talk
  3. 0:09with your host, photographer Jackson.
  4. 0:14We're gonna run that right back.
  5. 0:19All right, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome
  6. 0:23to Eleonide's Photos Industry Talk.
  7. 0:27And we're gonna jump right into it.
  8. 0:28Just left podcast summit 2025 in Atlanta.
  9. 0:34Day two is a wrap.
  10. 0:37The summit is over, I got some gems for y'all.
  11. 0:42First off, man, I started the day waking up at 4.50
  12. 0:49to meet David Shantz and some other creators
  13. 0:53and entrepreneurs bright before the sun came up at 5.40.
  14. 1:01We started stretching about 5.50
  15. 1:06and then started running about 6 a.m.
  16. 1:11Did two miles to our destination,
  17. 1:14then came back one and one,
  18. 1:17as in one mile there, one mile back.
  19. 1:20So a total of two miles, bright, early,
  20. 1:24getting the day started right before the conference.
  21. 1:26So I've been up for a little past 4 a.m.
  22. 1:34And you know, last night, you know,
  23. 1:37I did a blog, a blog style video
  24. 1:42and also audio for the podcast as you're listening.
  25. 1:48And I went to sleep late.
  26. 1:50I went to sleep about 1.30, 2 a.m.
  27. 1:54and got right back up two hours later.
  28. 1:57And it's about almost nine here, sun is setting
  29. 2:01as you can see behind me on the audio.
  30. 2:04I know you won't be able to see,
  31. 2:05but yeah, it's about nine here.
  32. 2:10So yeah, I literally been up all day tired,
  33. 2:13but I'ma spill some tea, I guess you can see.
  34. 2:22But nah, some insights, let me see,
  35. 2:28starting off, opening up, Willie Moore Jr.
  36. 2:31You know, he spoke about the four M's,
  37. 2:35which was money, mission, method, and millions.
  38. 2:42Then he also talked about the magic and your motive.
  39. 2:46And then, you know, yeah, what is your motives?
  40. 2:48And be clear about your motive.
  41. 2:51And another disclaimer, I am again outside,
  42. 2:55outside here in downtown Atlanta.
  43. 2:58So I recorded like this yesterday.
  44. 3:00I'm like, let me just run it back, same style.
  45. 3:03I have to, you know, I gave y'all some tips
  46. 3:06and insights from day one.
  47. 3:08Let me do day two the next day.
  48. 3:10So this is the next day.
  49. 3:12I'm outside, y'all might hear some music,
  50. 3:15some loud talking, yelling in the background.
  51. 3:17Hopefully y'all can hear my voice nice and clear.
  52. 3:21And any song played in the background,
  53. 3:25I do not have rights to this song, the music.
  54. 3:29So yeah, I don't have rights, so blah, blah, blah.
  55. 3:35Willie Moore Jr. also spoke about how his friend
  56. 3:38got a 90 million Netflix deal.
  57. 3:43A 90 million dollar Netflix deal.
  58. 3:48And it's huge, and you know,
  59. 3:50think it's possible for all of us.
  60. 3:53And then David Shands came out,
  61. 3:57and spoke about celebrating each other,
  62. 4:01the small wins, just like we did during the run.
  63. 4:05You know, some of us walked, some of us ran.
  64. 4:08The ones that ran, we finished first.
  65. 4:11So as the walkers was trickling in, we clapped them in,
  66. 4:15you know, hyped them up, celebrated them,
  67. 4:19gave them encouragement as they came in,
  68. 4:23and he told us to continue to show up.
  69. 4:28Continue to show up.
  70. 4:32Yeah, the background getting noisy,
  71. 4:33but I'm gonna still push through.
  72. 4:36And Jeremy, who David Shands got to interview
  73. 4:41from Red Circle, Jeremy, he spoke about
  74. 4:47having that brand longevity
  75. 4:51and partnerships and sponsorships.
  76. 4:53And to have it at least for three months,
  77. 4:55so aim for three months.
  78. 4:57But a typical contract started at 30 days,
  79. 5:00which is, you know, a month.
  80. 5:02So definitely some negotiations if you're aligned,
  81. 5:06and you know, that's like a trial, 30 days.
  82. 5:10But you know, if it works out,
  83. 5:12extend it to three months, six months,
  84. 5:14maybe even a year, try it out, you know?
  85. 5:19Per thousand downloads cost about 20 to $50,
  86. 5:24especially starting off, you know.
  87. 5:27I think 15 to 20 is a good spot,
  88. 5:30and then increase from there,
  89. 5:32especially as the more you show value
  90. 5:34and you know, prove that your audience is there
  91. 5:37for what you have to say and sell.
  92. 5:42CPD, I learned that, is the cost per download.
  93. 5:46So again, that cost per download starting off
  94. 5:49is a good $15 to about $50.
  95. 5:55So 20 to 40 is a good sweet spot,
  96. 5:58but you know, 15 and 20 is good at starting out.
  97. 6:05The podcast medium is one of the top markets
  98. 6:10for sponsorships right now, say less.
  99. 6:17And then Ms. Donnie Wiggins showed up and showed out.
  100. 6:25Always get some good nuggets from her.
  101. 6:30And basically she was saying,
  102. 6:34lean into your transparency, hence her podcast,
  103. 6:40full transparency and also on the Social Proof podcast,
  104. 6:44which she was number 57, episode number 57
  105. 6:48on the Social Proof.
  106. 6:50And you know, David asked her to become a host,
  107. 6:54you know, because she added that much value
  108. 6:57and it was a good conversation.
  109. 6:59So you never know when your partners,
  110. 7:01where your partners is gonna come from,
  111. 7:03the relationships you build,
  112. 7:05you never know where it may lead you.
  113. 7:08So definitely nourish and build those relationships
  114. 7:15and maintain and retain those relationships.
  115. 7:20She also said, use your podcast as a lead magnet
  116. 7:25versus a product and be part of a larger ecosystem.
  117. 7:29You know, monetize your back end
  118. 7:33and as she is a business development strategist,
  119. 7:41you just gotta soak in everything
  120. 7:42because strategy is key, the planning is key.
  121. 7:47I know she definitely helped David in the long run
  122. 7:50and they working together is just like a powerhouse
  123. 7:54on top of a powerhouse, you know?
  124. 7:57And I love them, enjoy them both
  125. 7:58and the Pull Up Experience,
  126. 8:02we definitely model our frameworks
  127. 8:05and you know, a lot that they do.
  128. 8:10As far as like the interview style
  129. 8:12and you know, how we conduct, you know,
  130. 8:15business around the podcast and we're getting better.
  131. 8:19Like I said, previously yesterday, you know,
  132. 8:21we have a lot on our plate.
  133. 8:24You know, the Pull Up Experience from Cleveland, Ohio,
  134. 8:26we are global, we're national,
  135. 8:30but we're soon to be global
  136. 8:31and also Alienize Photos industry talk
  137. 8:34who I am the host of as my personal podcast,
  138. 8:39preaching about my entrepreneur journey
  139. 8:41as I talk about business and give key insights
  140. 8:44as I'm doing now,
  141. 8:46as I go to different conferences and summits,
  142. 8:49workshops, you know, courses, eBooks
  143. 8:52and then everything I learned in between
  144. 8:55and then also when I interview,
  145. 8:58we still talk business and then I also ask
  146. 9:01how media, like photography, videography, newspaper
  147. 9:08because that's what I do.
  148. 9:10I create media and marketing.
  149. 9:14How does that affect your industry?
  150. 9:17So yeah, and then I attended the workshop
  151. 9:21with Miss Cynthia, she had a quote,
  152. 9:27AI is intended to be an extension of us,
  153. 9:30not the extinction of us.
  154. 9:34AI is intended to be the extension of us,
  155. 9:39not the extinction.
  156. 9:41We're not extinct and we won't become extinct
  157. 9:45and we will not let AI make us extinct
  158. 9:49because we're humans and we control it, all right?
  159. 9:54Digital diabetes cause mental obesity
  160. 10:03because we've taken in so much
  161. 10:05and not acting on it or doing what we just learned,
  162. 10:09you know, we're just taking it all in.
  163. 10:14Prop engineering versus context engineering,
  164. 10:18you know, it's like doers versus directors,
  165. 10:22you know, you wanna be more directing.
  166. 10:26Al Quincea, AKA at Conundrum,
  167. 10:29hey, who was number episode 300
  168. 10:34on the Pull Up Experience
  169. 10:37and David Shands, 200, the Conundrum, 300,
  170. 10:42we got some powerful people from Atlanta.
  171. 10:45Oh, that's our staple episode,
  172. 10:47so yeah, we thank both of them, you know,
  173. 10:51they added value to our community, our network
  174. 10:54and even us, you know, continually, even to this day,
  175. 10:59way after the episodes and the interviews, you know,
  176. 11:02they still provide insight and man,
  177. 11:06we still support them at all they do.
  178. 11:12But she spoke on AEO, you know,
  179. 11:21also about Instagram and then the A-B testing
  180. 11:25and how it's now a search engine.
  181. 11:30And again, back to that AEO,
  182. 11:35it's more important than the SEO now, so.
  183. 11:41And then social media has a mute button,
  184. 11:46especially Instagram.
  185. 11:48Mute those profiles and accounts
  186. 11:52that you don't want to get in your feed
  187. 11:57all in your mind, just flooding you with negativity
  188. 12:01and content that you don't want to see,
  189. 12:06block it out, mute it.
  190. 12:11Corey, Mr. Corey, he spoke about building a community,
  191. 12:19establishing your identity
  192. 12:21and also the trending mass relatability
  193. 12:28and then most of all, focusing in on high impact content.
  194. 12:35And you know, he works with a lot of brands, celebrities,
  195. 12:43helping brands and podcasts get celebrities
  196. 12:48and working with different celebrities and artists.
  197. 12:51So yeah, it's definitely important, you know,
  198. 12:55reverse engineer your brand intention.
  199. 12:58And like again, focus on high impact content.
  200. 13:02And then the AI panel with Miss Alicia Little
  201. 13:06and Cynthia and Alquencia, okay, a conundrum.
  202. 13:11Some things I took away from that was get meta verified.
  203. 13:16So that's Facebook, Instagram.
  204. 13:19Pay that money if you're not verified
  205. 13:22or get verified the old school way, natural way,
  206. 13:26but you know, it's gonna protect you in the long run,
  207. 13:29especially with, you know, AI as it's coming around.
  208. 13:33Again, sorry for the background noise
  209. 13:35as it's getting louder and louder and louder.
  210. 13:39I apologize, but yeah, I definitely want to, you know,
  211. 13:44speak my mind as I come from this conference.
  212. 13:52We're gonna be coming, approaching fraud detection fatigue.
  213. 13:59Like we're not gonna know what's real, what's fake.
  214. 14:01And it's just gonna be, you know, so much.
  215. 14:05We're not gonna know what's real, what's fake.
  216. 14:07And then we're just gonna get tired of it, you know?
  217. 14:11So be mindful of that, you know, it's coming.
  218. 14:16And then, you know, being faceless on your content,
  219. 14:22your podcast, you know, your brand that you develop,
  220. 14:26you know, don't be afraid to create a mascot, you know,
  221. 14:30with the AI, create a mascot.
  222. 14:32So that's something I'm about to actually look into.
  223. 14:35So yeah, I might need some names for a mascot, everybody.
  224. 14:40And then Mr. J. Hill interviewed the brothers from EYL,
  225. 14:45Earn Your Leisure, Troy, and Rishai.
  226. 14:48And I have their book, by the way, it's, ooh wee,
  227. 14:51it's amazing.
  228. 14:52I had to get it, I had it pre-ordered
  229. 14:54before it was released, and it was nice.
  230. 14:58And I actually had access to EYL University
  231. 15:02for a couple months, and it was nice,
  232. 15:04because I think like 2,000 a year, annually,
  233. 15:082,000 a year, I don't know if they got monthly.
  234. 15:10I think they just got an annual plan is two grand.
  235. 15:13Yeah, so, you know, it was worth it.
  236. 15:17I appreciate it.
  237. 15:19But yeah, they said, always follow your purpose,
  238. 15:22you know, the mistake entrepreneurs make
  239. 15:26is that they sell too early.
  240. 15:29And they said, start with adding value,
  241. 15:32trust, and build community.
  242. 15:35And David is huge on community building
  243. 15:38and building the community and retaining the community.
  244. 15:41And he has the morning meetup,
  245. 15:43and I had a chance to be a part of that as well,
  246. 15:45you know, for a few months.
  247. 15:47So I'm just thankful for the being in these communities,
  248. 15:50you know?
  249. 15:53Leverage your brand.
  250. 15:56And shout-outs to EYL for making a new deal
  251. 16:00with iHeart Radio, you know?
  252. 16:04So that's big, and that's major,
  253. 16:06and they're, you know, making good relationships
  254. 16:11with a lot of people, especially in Ghana, Africa.
  255. 16:15You know, they have Investfest.
  256. 16:17It was like two weeks from now,
  257. 16:21or like almost two, three weeks
  258. 16:23after podcast summit every year.
  259. 16:26So I haven't been to Investfest yet,
  260. 16:28but I purchased the virtual tickets and a replay.
  261. 16:33So yeah, due to my schedule,
  262. 16:35getting back to Atlanta that quickly,
  263. 16:39I just can't write at this moment in time these years,
  264. 16:43but it's coming soon where I could hit both
  265. 16:45the podcast summit and earn your leisure
  266. 16:48in Investfest each year.
  267. 16:53But yeah, looking forward to attending live
  268. 16:55one of these upcoming years.
  269. 16:58And then Troy said,
  270. 17:01intuition is like God whispering in your ear.
  271. 17:05Follow your intuition,
  272. 17:07especially as you get big
  273. 17:09and work with different partners,
  274. 17:11different brands, different sponsorships.
  275. 17:16You know, follow your intuition.
  276. 17:17If it doesn't align with your brand,
  277. 17:20don't be afraid to say no, you know?
  278. 17:22Say no.
  279. 17:23And then Donnie Wiggins and Brandon shot me.
  280. 17:29Whew.
  281. 17:30They had a little improv session,
  282. 17:34but Brandon, you know, he started, you know,
  283. 17:41meeting Dave at the mall when he had a kiosk
  284. 17:44selling Sleepist but Suckers, you know,
  285. 17:49it's a T-shirt brand, it's a clothing brand.
  286. 17:53And you know, it kind of got mentorship through him.
  287. 17:57And then he said he purchased David Shan's
  288. 18:02entrepreneur course, or he was following along
  289. 18:05with his course, Entrepreneurship 101.
  290. 18:19The music, y'all.
  291. 18:22That's wild.
  292. 18:28They trying to drown me out, y'all.
  293. 18:32Wow.
  294. 18:33The perks of outside in Atlanta at night,
  295. 18:38down times, it is the weekend, so I get it.
  296. 18:41Everybody trying to party and stuff.
  297. 18:44Again, I own no rights to these songs.
  298. 18:47This music, I own no rights.
  299. 18:51So this does not be monetized.
  300. 18:55This is just free game for my community, my audience.
  301. 18:59I appreciate y'all for sticking with me.
  302. 19:02All right.
  303. 19:04Ooh, be the CEO of your own media source.
  304. 19:12You are the CEO of your own media source.
  305. 19:16Donnie Wiggins.
  306. 19:17If you didn't get nothing else from her,
  307. 19:20from the previous gyms that I've dropped,
  308. 19:23that is a great one.
  309. 19:25And then closing the day off with none other
  310. 19:28than David Shan's again, you know.
  311. 19:31Oh man.
  312. 19:34Entrepreneurship is a challenge.
  313. 19:37The three pillars he focuses on is content,
  314. 19:40community, and cash flow.
  315. 19:42You know, if you're not where you want to be,
  316. 19:46maybe it's your community.
  317. 19:49Or if you've got a good community, maybe it's the content.
  318. 19:53Well, if you've got the content and community,
  319. 19:55well, maybe it's the cash flow.
  320. 19:57Maybe it's a cash flow issue.
  321. 19:58Maybe your way you monetize
  322. 20:01and your systems is incorrect, you know.
  323. 20:04So check it, work on it, adjust it, you know.
  324. 20:07But those are three pillars to help you succeed,
  325. 20:10especially with podcasts and also entrepreneurship.
  326. 20:15Big things, there's leadership, team building,
  327. 20:18community engagement, pricing,
  328. 20:20being in the right environments.
  329. 20:21How many people in your call log do you look up to,
  330. 20:29you know, or who in your call log life you desire?
  331. 20:35Or is it the people you've been talking to on the phone
  332. 20:37a couple of hours, just, oh yeah,
  333. 20:40and they did this and that and that and that.
  334. 20:42Oh yeah, the sports team.
  335. 20:44Yeah, we going to championship.
  336. 20:46Oh, the weather, oh, it's cold, oh, it's snowing,
  337. 20:48oh, it's raining, like two hours.
  338. 20:52Those are not impactful conversations.
  339. 20:54Those are just, to me, smart talking.
  340. 20:56Everybody knows me, knows I do not like smart talk
  341. 21:00and I just shy away from it.
  342. 21:02I know I sing standoffish a lot of times,
  343. 21:05especially like with conversations like that.
  344. 21:08Yeah, how can we add value and impact to each other?
  345. 21:12You know, that's the type of conversation
  346. 21:14is I like to do, you know, I like to go deep, so,
  347. 21:17you know, and then just leaving it off, you know,
  348. 21:22what's your business model, your content,
  349. 21:24to cash-map it, the products and services
  350. 21:27you're aligning around your podcast and your business.
  351. 21:30And then once you get inside his communities,
