  21. 1:13and some things was on my heart
  22. 1:17as, you know, we kind of get distracted sometimes.
  23. 1:22We kind of go off course, you know.
  24. 1:24Fall asleep at the wheel, you know,
  25. 1:27I've definitely done that a lot, you know, literally.
  26. 1:31People know I'm always doing a lot,
  27. 1:34so I'm traveling and, you know,
  28. 1:38tired, you know, it happens.
  29. 1:40And, you know, I pull over when I can
  30. 1:42and, you know, make sure I'm stay hydrated
  31. 1:44and try to avoid it the most I can.
  32. 1:47I'm getting my sleep more
  33. 1:49and that's important for an entrepreneur, you know.
  34. 1:52Not getting in sleep is a distraction.
  35. 1:54I'm like, man, am I piling my schedule up too much?
  36. 1:58Am I doing too much?
  37. 2:00Am I not fully giving 100% all the time
  38. 2:03because I'm trying and, you know,
  39. 2:06putting my energy in too many things?
  40. 2:09You know, even starting a podcast is like,
  41. 2:11oh, you starting another thing?
  42. 2:14You know, I had a podcast back in the day,
  43. 2:16Lyrical Logic Podcast,
  44. 2:18is I broke down lyrics and poems with different guests
  45. 2:23and then also have them break down
  46. 2:25one of their poems or songs, you know.
  47. 2:31But, you know, starting this podcast,
  48. 2:34it was, again, on my heart, you know, it was meaningful
  49. 2:39and it's adding to my business
  50. 2:41as it's the biggest marketing arm of my business.
  51. 2:46So, and it's free, you know,
  52. 2:49and I get to connect with people through conversation,
  53. 2:53which is good, impactful,
  54. 2:55and, you know, even for everyone else,
  55. 2:58you know, listen to these interviews
  56. 3:00and, you know, even my solo podcast episodes
  57. 3:05of Alien Eyes Photos industry talk.
  58. 3:09But, you know, distractions, they get in the way.
  59. 3:14How can we cut them out?
  60. 3:16How can we get them out of our life completely?
  61. 3:20If you really want it, you know,
  62. 3:22you got to delete distractions completely
  63. 3:26because distractions don't come to us.
  64. 3:30We go to the distractions.
  65. 3:33We seek out the distractions.
  66. 3:36You know, I don't want to do this big task.
  67. 3:38Oh, let me distract myself.
  68. 3:40Oh, let me play, you know, a game on my phone,
  69. 3:43you know, Spades or whatever you play on your phone.
  70. 3:50And, you know, you may watch Netflix, watch TV,
  71. 3:58you know, go hang out with a friend,
  72. 4:02y'all still trying to figure out what y'all want to do.
  73. 4:06And, you know, y'all both trying to distract yourselves
  74. 4:09because y'all don't want to face the hard work
  75. 4:14or the task that's needed.
  76. 4:15It could be something simple.
  77. 4:17And the simple can sometimes be, you know, difficult.
  78. 4:23Like the most littlest thing, even with relationships,
  79. 4:27you know, it could be something simple, something little.
  80. 4:32We just don't want to do it.
  81. 4:33Just do it, you know?
  82. 4:38And that's me also talking to myself,
  83. 4:40but I know many could reflect on that
  84. 4:44because I do get distracted a lot, you know?
  85. 4:48And to be candid, I had an opportunity to try for the NBA
  86. 4:56and anybody that know me, I love basketball.
  87. 4:59It's one of my childhood dreams to be in the NBA.
  88. 5:03And I was also thinking like,
  89. 5:06well, will my older self be mad at my younger self
  90. 5:10for not taking this opportunity?
  91. 5:12You know, something I wanted so bad at one point in my life,
  92. 5:16but I wanted to pursue music and poetry at the time.
  93. 5:22So, you know, I didn't consistently play basketball.
  94. 5:26Like it's been maybe five years
  95. 5:29since I've like picked it up.
  96. 5:32I picked it up more recently this year, 2025,
  97. 5:38and you know, been consistent with my, you know,
  98. 5:42I could say my hoopin' partner, E-Rock, Mr. E-Rock Beats,
  99. 5:46Eric Porter, my brother, great producer, great MC,
  100. 5:50great host, great friend, man.
  101. 5:53I love you, brother.
  102. 5:54And we got some episodes coming out
  103. 5:56as he had the opportunity to interview me.
  104. 5:59So stay tuned for that.
  105. 6:03Yeah, so I had the opportunity to try out for the NBA,
  106. 6:09the G League, Cleveland Charge,
  107. 6:12the development sector of the NBA.
  108. 6:16And I was all for it.
  109. 6:23You know, I'm training, I'm training.
  110. 6:25You know, I only had about five weeks to train.
  111. 6:30And like I said, I haven't been playing in years.
  112. 6:34This year, I finally got back to it,
  113. 6:36but it's still not like, you know, consistent play.
  114. 6:39I play maybe once a week.
  115. 6:43One point it was like once a month.
  116. 6:45So yeah, I've started bringing it up to once,
  117. 6:49once a week, sometimes twice.
  118. 6:52I would love more to get it up to about three or four.
  119. 6:55Oh, bars.
  120. 7:00I really had to sit and think about it though,
  121. 7:07because I'm focused on my first million.
  122. 7:13You know, it's tough sometimes
  123. 7:17getting out that four figure, five figure,
  124. 7:20you know, and then once you get that six figure,
  125. 7:23and it's like, okay, the million, here we go.
  126. 7:28I'm focused on my first million
  127. 7:33and I know I'm gonna do it with the team around me.
  128. 7:38And, you know, the Pull Up Experience,
  129. 7:40Creative Frequency, Overflow Studio,
  130. 7:43Montage Media,
  131. 7:50is really important for me to eliminate distractions,
  132. 8:01to build the brands that I'm a part of.
  133. 8:07Eliminate distractions,
  134. 8:10so I could continue elevating the brands
  135. 8:12that I am a part of.
  136. 8:18Wow.
  137. 8:22I'm just sitting back and reflecting,
  138. 8:24and, you know, as you hear this,
  139. 8:33you know, it's very eye-opening,
  140. 8:42very, you know, catchy to the mind
  141. 8:45to wanna do something new or,
  142. 8:48you know, experience something.
  143. 8:52But is it worth your focus
  144. 8:56on where you want to go in life?
  145. 9:00The ultimate goal, the current goal,
  146. 9:04what you want to do to distract you,
  147. 9:07or taking away from what you're supposed to do
  148. 9:13has value, and first off, it doesn't have value,
  149. 9:16it would add value.
  150. 9:19No.
  151. 9:21I would stop there,
  152. 9:23because on the flip side, there's also self-care,
  153. 9:27self-love, time with the one above,
  154. 9:30the one in your heart, the one in your mind,
  155. 9:33the one in your spirit,
  156. 9:37we're at one, we're never apart.
  157. 9:44We're one and never apart, just like, you know,
  158. 9:47our business, our brand, our personal brands,
  159. 9:51which is important,
  160. 9:55and every story is just like a narrative for brand,
  161. 10:04every brand has a story,
  162. 10:06every person has a story,
  163. 10:09every artist has a story,
  164. 10:10every entrepreneur has a story.
  165. 10:13You know, as I continue talking
  166. 10:16to my creative entrepreneurs,
  167. 10:19you know, those who's creative,
  168. 10:21and those who also an entrepreneur,
  169. 10:24tied all in to each other,
  170. 10:27or if you're just a creative,
  171. 10:28or you're just an entrepreneur,
  172. 10:31or if you want us to become one of these,
  173. 10:34you know, two, or I could say three, to be both,
  174. 10:41you got to eliminate the distractions.
  175. 10:45I know people that go to the gym
  176. 10:47just spend more time on their phone
  177. 10:49than they do, you know, working out.
  178. 10:51You know, I leave all that in a locker,
  179. 10:53like, I know I want to listen to music, my music,
  180. 10:57and you know, you know how I be in the gym,
  181. 10:59but it's just like, no,
  182. 11:00because I'm trying to find a song,
  183. 11:03or get a text up going and say,
  184. 11:04oh, like, it's just a big loop, you know?
  185. 11:08We wake up, sometimes,
  186. 11:12first thing people do is get on their phone,
  187. 11:15you know, take their time to yourself,
  188. 11:18so self-love and self-care is also important,
  189. 11:21and you know, taking time to rest and take a break,
  190. 11:25and you know, do something fun,
  191. 11:27do something enjoying, experience, travel,
  192. 11:30unwind, unplug, you know, do nothing.
  193. 11:35You know, find time,
  194. 11:36you got to find time to read a book,
  195. 11:38and you know, even books, that's not, you know,
  196. 11:42in your genre, or your target audience,
  197. 11:47or what you do,
  198. 11:50but you know,
  199. 11:53just trying to branch out and explore.
  200. 11:55Books is one of those sectors where you can't explore,
  201. 11:59and kind of take, and you know, just take it in,
  202. 12:06but there's a balance,
  203. 12:10you know, you got to cut those distractions,
  204. 12:12but what distractions are okay?
  205. 12:16I'll leave that up to you to figure out,
  206. 12:18but I got to get going,
  207. 12:20so we're set up for the pull-up experience.
  208. 12:23I know the team is probably waiting on me,
  209. 12:24and we're like, oh,
  210. 12:26but I'm just wanting to drop in,
  211. 12:28and also my thoughts and reflections,
  212. 12:32you know, continuing,
  213. 12:34reflecting on my journey as an entrepreneur.
  214. 12:37Again, it's 2025, September,
  215. 12:44and I'm glad it's still warm.
  216. 12:47It's getting cold some days,
  217. 12:49it's colder than others, especially at night,
  218. 12:52but I'm going to appreciate this September weather.
  219. 12:58My sense of Earth went on fire on y'all,
  220. 12:59but I got to go.
