2. 0:10seven hey day seven of my social media sabbatical and speaking of seven day
3. 0:20seven I have my daughter seven with me in the car as I record this and hey
4. 0:26the irony of this is day seven and wow and now yeah I have an event to cover
5. 0:33today so yeah I had to figure out when I'm gonna record this and I'm like hey
6. 0:40let's do this in a car before the event because yeah we have to stop and
7. 0:46get something to eat before the event as we're kind of pressed with time
8. 0:50I'm recording this right now right here in the car just to knock it out but
9. 0:56today I want to speak on satisfaction are you satisfied with what you're
10. 1:03doing in your business with what you're doing with your creative
11. 1:07endeavors your art are you satisfied with life are you content are you
12. 1:19satisfied are you complacent just standing there doing the same things
13. 1:27over and over like a hamster wheel over and over and over and over again
14. 1:35are you satisfied and unlock unlike the the other days I'm kind of like
15. 1:46teaching this one would be more motivational more inspirational just
16. 1:52something to think about take on this perspective is thought are you really
17. 2:02satisfied with your life are you really satisfied with your entrepreneur
18. 2:11journey your business are you satisfied with the actions you are
19. 2:18currently doing right now what are you doing that keeps you satisfied
20. 2:29what are some things that you could change to make you more satisfied and
21. 2:34what you're doing now I know a lot of times we start start many things we're
22. 2:45not satisfied so also want to say don't quit before you even start if
23. 2:56day two you really can't judge the whole criteria off two days one or two
24. 3:09days and then you say you quit of course it's not gonna be sunshine and
25. 3:16rainbows the first couple days you start I would have been quit I started
26. 3:24my business it was rough rough wasn't satisfied for a while I found things
27. 3:31that satisfied me are even more was amazing and then there was other things
28. 3:38that oh no I'm not satisfied with and the financial the pay I surely wasn't
29. 3:45satisfied now I was doing all types of photography before I niche it down
30. 3:51to you know being an event photographer because I love events that's actually
31. 3:56how I started I used to record people on my iPhone after I performed our
32. 4:04host event like I introduced them and then record the performance take
33. 4:10pictures on my phone are even the same after I perform I recorded other
34. 4:15performers and help them with their social media just the kindness of my
35. 4:20because I know how I am as an artist I would want some footage I want some
36. 4:24pictures you know performing so I did it for others and decided to invest in
37. 4:32the camera so I study learn invest in the camera bought the camera and kind
38. 4:39of shift gears to photography more visual art and then brought it more
39. 4:45towards visual marketing so if I would have quit it when I first started
40. 4:54because things wasn't going my way or working out or I wasn't completely
41. 4:59satisfied oh I wouldn't be where I am today you probably want to be
42. 5:03listening to this podcast me on this audio if I would have quit so do not
43. 5:14be discouraged on your first couple days your first week of starting something
44. 5:19new it's a growing process it's a learning process we all get frustrated
45. 5:24sometimes and while we're trying to figure things out we really can't
46. 5:28figure these out and keep bumping our head on the wall but it takes time it
47. 5:36takes time to perfect things the way you want to perfect it or get get
48. 5:41to where you wanted to be and to truly be satisfied I remember doing free free
49. 5:53events cover free events with photos video even people in my network gave
50. 6:00them free photo shoots you know just to practice and get my portfolio up
51. 6:05and my first price was $50 charging $50 an hour for a photo shoot and kind of
52. 6:18the same with events until I started raising my prices on events still had
53. 6:23the $50 photo shoots and then started off with 75 an hour for events and
54. 6:32then raised it up to you know basically doubled it 150 to kind of like where I'm
55. 6:40at now $300 an hour for events photography coverage that was my main
56. 6:50package just like a half day rate so it's four hours special ratings for
57. 6:56and then also full day rates so that's kind of what I push is my half day rates
58. 7:03like that middle ground but if people want to book hourly I do accept that
59. 7:09same with photography and also for video but yeah $50 so I was getting
60. 7:16somewhere then I just seen all the editing on the back end after photo
61. 7:23shoot so I'm like well I'm missing out on a lot cuz I'm spending so many hours
62. 7:29too many hours after the photo shoot it's like dang I'm working for pennies
63. 7:37way after the photo shoot because I'm editing and doing this and doing
64. 7:40that and the delivery to follow up the emails so it's so much after the
65. 7:45fact even things before the fact and then planning and that it's not just
66. 7:49taking a picture and then we're done it's a process to it and back on this
67. 7:56sabbatical I spoke about systems the power of systems day five so we have
68. 8:06to follow these processes follow these systems and you know create how
69. 8:13much we charge but it's an investment for whoever wants to purchase your
70. 8:19service or if you have a product your product it's time to rate create a
71. 8:25product time to market time to distribute the whole production process
72. 8:34the cost of material so much go into a product it's a little different for
73. 8:41digital products but for a physical product it's a lot that goes to a lot
74. 8:47so back to being satisfied what can help you be satisfied and what you
75. 9:00already doing right now right now what little tweak and change can help you be
76. 9:12more satisfied and again I could be with life or in your business or your
77. 9:17journey your creative endeavors whatever that may be what little tweak
78. 9:26can you make we all love happiness we all love peace we all love love and we
79. 9:36love being loved that we're happy love that we love that we're happy it's
80. 9:46no better feeling than that and that goes with being satisfied so there's
81. 9:54nothing to think about what keeps you satisfied and how and what can make you
82. 9:59satisfied if you're not satisfied so let's wrap it up with saying just be
83. 10:08satisfied be amazing be great it's already within you I gotta take take
84. 10:17this to a whole nother level and just say you're already satisfied
85. 10:24because you simply made the thought all right that's my time this is Steve
