  8. 0:12Appreciate you to coming out to Podcast United.
  9. 0:16And you know, I missed the behind the walls verse.
  10. 0:21Yeah.
  11. 0:21What was that like?
  12. 0:23It was a surreal experience
  13. 0:25because I've never done a concert before.
  14. 0:29I've never been a ticket promoter.
  15. 0:31I've never promoted any kind of show.
  16. 0:34And this was my first one.
  17. 0:35First time.
  18. 0:35That was the first time.
  19. 0:37And a number of people said they didn't know
  20. 0:39that was my first show
  21. 0:40because they said, you look poised, you look composed.
  22. 0:43And on the inside, I'm like, Lord, help me.
  23. 0:45Since I'm built for this.
  24. 0:46I was freaking out on the inside,
  25. 0:49but I had a lot of great people help me
  26. 0:52behind the scenes to just tell me
  27. 0:54what to expect, things to look forward to,
  28. 0:57things to look out for,
  29. 0:59what to do the day of.
  30. 1:00I learned a lot in a short period of time,
  31. 1:03especially on the marketing side, the promoting side,
  32. 1:06not having my hands in certain things,
  33. 1:08being there for parts of soundcheck
  34. 1:10that I missed this past year.
  35. 1:12So I learned a lot.
  36. 1:13I learned a lot.
  37. 1:14Soundcheck's important too, yeah.
  38. 1:15Yeah, it really was.
  39. 1:17Beyond the Walls is meant to just tell you
  40. 1:20there's a different message in music.
  41. 1:24You know what I'm saying?
  42. 1:24Like this is something your mother, your grandmother,
  43. 1:26your kids can listen to.
  44. 1:27You don't have to worry about shutting it off
  45. 1:29because such and such is walking into the room.
  46. 1:30This is a Christian hip hop and R&B concert,
  47. 1:33and we are giving you solid music, incredible music,
  48. 1:37but it's also just a faith-filled message behind it
  49. 1:40that we don't gotta sit here and talk about robbing,
  50. 1:42killing, stealing, murder, and every single song.
  51. 1:45I'm honestly, I'm so tired of that.
  52. 1:47All these dudes are talking about robbing
  53. 1:48and killing all these people.
  54. 1:49The murder count is exactly the same.
  55. 1:51They're talking about a fabricated life,
  56. 1:53and then these young kids, they see this,
  57. 1:55they hear this, and they start emulating this,
  58. 1:58and now it's just straight debauchery.
  59. 2:02It's just straight deprecation
  60. 2:03going through whatever community that music is playing in.
  61. 2:06So we wanna give you something good
  62. 2:08that the whole family can enjoy
  63. 2:09and give you a positive faith-filled message too.
