- 0:01Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome
- 0:05to Alienize Photos Industry Talk.
- 0:10And this will be a little encouragement,
- 0:15a lot of motivation.
- 0:18And again, my personal journey
- 0:20on this entrepreneurship road
- 0:22and just live it life in general.
- 0:25It's a human being and
- 0:28we are in the age of AI
- 0:31and it's best to be your authentic self
- 0:38and your brand should represent that as well.
- 0:42You should have an identity.
- 0:44Your brand should have an identity.
- 0:48The messaging should both kind of be the same,
- 0:54you know, just something to think about.
- 0:58And I've had.
- 1:01I mean, I could say
- 1:03a tough few weeks in a row.
- 1:08From transportation issues with vehicles
- 1:12and getting that squared away and
- 1:16quote unquote, speed and tick the egg.
- 1:19Which I'm looking at the car as a liability now, you know.
- 1:24Is it really an asset?
- 1:26Yeah, it's getting me from point A to point B
- 1:28and also quicker and warmer, I should say.
- 1:33As everybody knows, it's very cold here in Cleveland, Ohio,
- 1:37up north, Midwest.
- 1:41But, you know, that
- 1:44I was an unexpected setback.
- 1:47And then things just started trickling down almost
- 1:50like I was in this negative cycle over and over and over again.
- 1:55Like it even took me a few weeks just to
- 2:00stay back from the podcast and not record an episode, a new episode.
- 2:08And this is finally me getting back on the mic.
- 2:11There's so many negative things that I could talk about, but I'm not.
- 2:16And then I didn't want to record that.
- 2:19In a sense, negative energy and throw that back.
- 2:23But this is me kind of recapping the last few weeks,
- 2:28which was tough, which was challenging.
- 2:30And it just reminds me to stay humble
- 2:33and keep your head up and keep persevering.
- 2:36Like, yeah, this is this is just a phase, just like the moon
- 2:40has different phases.
- 2:43So I take it with a grain of salt.
- 2:46I just want to remind you to also
- 2:50take it as a small incline that this will
- 2:56bypass and pass over.
- 2:59Never take it too much to heart,
- 3:02because when our feelings and emotions get involved,
- 3:06especially in business, I say don't mix it.
- 3:08People say don't mix
- 3:12love and business together.
- 3:16Many people say that because the emotion and feelings behind it.
- 3:22But I know a lot of successful couples,
- 3:25married couples, and it can work.
- 3:31So you just have to be aware of those emotions
- 3:34and those feelings that are attached and are involved.
- 3:37And sometimes you have to set them aside.
- 3:43And that's what I did.
- 3:45I just set it aside.
- 3:48So I know being in my feelings, being in this negative loop,
- 3:53almost like a hamster wheel in this negative loop,
- 3:59this negative cycle is going around and around and around
- 4:04and around and around.
- 4:05It's the same exact thing, the continuation of it.
- 4:10So by me, in a sense, breaking from it, by kind of just
- 4:14shifting my energy towards, OK,
- 4:19take it as a take away the grain of salt.
- 4:22You know, you don't need a lot of salt in your food.
- 4:24Just take it a little bit, a little pinch, break a little round.
- 4:30Yeah, it happened.
- 4:32Yeah, you're going to feel this.
- 4:36Emotionally, especially.
- 4:38Like, dang, I don't know what.
- 4:41Dang, dang, what is that?
- 4:43Oh, man, dang, ah, you know, you want to scream.
- 4:50But instead of screaming and being in the emotions
- 4:54behind it all is best to live life.
- 5:06Live life one moment at a time, live each business day.
- 5:14One moment at a time, live life one day at a time.
- 5:26And with your business,
- 5:29just start with one thing, one thing.
- 5:37Like, there's no better feeling when I pick up a camera
- 5:44and photograph, document
- 5:48a great event, those sacred moments,
- 5:56those marketing moments, those key moments,
- 6:01those one in a lifetime moments, those selling points
- 6:07and memories, the photos that you can relive,
- 6:12that you can re-see over and over again.
- 6:17Just see it, visualize it,
- 6:21whether if you're using it for marketing or to sell
- 6:25or if it's just something personal for you to have
- 6:28and for you to look at upon
- 6:31and for it to be history, a historical moment,
- 6:36because there's no other time like a moment in time like that.
- 6:39Even if you do the same thing over and over,
- 6:43nothing else happened on that day like this.
- 6:46And this moment will never happen again,
- 6:49even if it's the same tomorrow or the next day.
- 6:53It's still something different about it each day.
- 6:57You may be feeling something different each day.
- 7:00The people around you in attendance may be feeling,
- 7:02the presenters, whoever may be feeling
- 7:07or acting a different way
- 7:11the next day, the next day
- 7:14or a stage play or a presentation, whatever.
- 7:18And maybe the same words, maybe the same actions,
- 7:22but something that's different and also the time is different,
- 7:26the space may be even different.
- 7:28So just something to think about.
- 7:33That was deep, like, wow.
- 7:35But again, I want you to use all the fuel that's given to you,
- 7:40whether it's positive or negative, use it as fuel, as jetpacks.
- 7:46Take it in. Have a moment.
- 7:48Take a deep breath. Let it out.
- 7:55Do it again if you have to repeat.
- 7:57It's good to take that moment.
- 7:58Take that deep breath because, whoo, boy, I tell you,
- 8:04I wanted to not life the...
- 8:09You know, it's like, ah, what the...
- 8:12What is going on? Like, man.
- 8:15Just really feeling it and really being in it.
- 8:19And it's good to be around others and moments like that
- 8:25or even just having that dialogue and taking a nap,
- 8:29you know, going to bed early.
- 8:32Hang it up for the day and start fresh tomorrow, you know.
- 8:36Sometimes those moments are needed.
- 8:39Just want to go to sleep, you know.
- 8:43Mine is doing too many gymnastics and Olympic tricks.
- 8:48Like, man, the monkey mine is real.
- 8:54So sometimes I get up early, go to bed early,
- 9:02go to sleep, take a nap, you know, 20 minute nap, wake up.
- 9:07OK. What just happened?
- 9:13Wow, I can't believe that happened.
- 9:14What happened to me? Well, I get it done.
- 9:18Got to get it taken care of, whatever it may be,
- 9:20whatever the situation may be.
- 9:22And just like in your business, you just have to get it done.
- 9:27And that's something I'm being big on myself this year.
- 9:32And this will be the year I leave my nine to five.
- 9:40It is 2026.
- 9:46By the end of January 2027,
- 9:54I will no longer be nine to five.
- 9:59Well, I'm going to say I never will, but because I may go back,
- 10:02you know, you know how it is.
- 10:04So I will be running Alienize Photos Media
- 10:13and also Alienize Photos Industry Talk.
- 10:17This lovely podcast, talk show,
- 10:21radio, whatever you want to call it, educational piece.
- 10:30Whatever you want to call it.
- 10:33But I am doing it full time and serving my audience,
- 10:38my network, my people, my clients, my tribe, my team.
- 10:46And also being more involved
- 10:49with LaunchArts as we continue to grow.
- 10:52Eleven years, y'all.
- 10:54That is major.
- 10:56So I'm happy to be a part of LaunchArts Media.
- 11:00It gets you noticed. So tap in with the brand.
- 11:05One of the best in Ohio
- 11:09when it comes to digital marketing and video production,
- 11:18like me being a part of that team.
- 11:21And everybody knows what I bring.
- 11:24But man, the team that's in place
- 11:28is just elevates it to another level.
- 11:32And shout out to my mentor, Jamar, who's the CEO
- 11:37and lead creative director.
- 11:40I might as well just say every director
- 11:44of LaunchArts Media.
- 11:46And it's just it's amazing to see sometimes.
- 11:51You know, what what can be done, especially with a team as,
- 11:55you know, Alienize Photos, believe it or not, is a personal brand,
- 12:00even though I run it as a business.
- 12:04And I serve B2B clients, business to business, businesses.
- 12:11That's like my business, my niche event photography
- 12:15for B2B, business to business,
- 12:20because I am business and I love doing businesses with other businesses
- 12:23because what I learned that individuals do not necessarily
- 12:30have the proper budget, especially for what you want to do.
- 12:34Yeah, they're throwing an event, but they may only have a two hundred
- 12:39three hundred dollar budget for an event.
- 12:44When you already ran your costs, you ran your expenses.
- 12:49Of course, you've been doing it for years.
- 12:52You have that experience, that that technical skill,
- 12:57that that knowledge that you could bring, even the insight,
- 13:00even if you're not even, you know, filming or doing photography for the event.
- 13:06You can't consult and say, well, OK, well, you don't have the budget.
- 13:11You could do it yourself.
- 13:13I have someone take pictures on the phone, but make sure you have
- 13:16good lighting and this and this and that.
- 13:18Like you can still provide through knowledge and not even be there.
- 13:23It's almost like coaching.
- 13:27But if you want professionals
- 13:30tap in with alienized photos, media and also launched arts media
- 13:36and anything with marketing or media.
- 13:40Tap into brands.
- 13:43And also the pull up experience.
- 13:47Yes, if you have not heard the pull up experience podcast,
- 13:52the number one entrepreneur.
- 13:58Podcasts, not only in Cleveland, Ohio, but Ohio abroad.
- 14:04And we are coming.
- 14:07For the whole nation, for the whole US and then the whole world, we are.
- 14:17Going on five plus years, and I've been in it
- 14:24minus the plus.
- 14:26But five years, you know, as.
- 14:33I entered in like month two, month three, I believe.
- 14:39So not in a full existence, but.
- 14:43Mid is instance ongoing existence.
- 14:47It's going on almost five years,
- 14:51as distance this summer will be five years.
- 14:58And it's amazing to see also just the things
- 15:01we accomplish and accomplish as a team and the things we do
- 15:05as a team, as a unit with all the brands I'm attached to
- 15:13or all the brands that I work with, like anybody I work with,
- 15:17my creative entrepreneurs.
- 15:19I have room for you. I really do.
- 15:24Like if I could attend your event, even if you don't have the budget.
- 15:30For my services or my team or my expertise.
- 15:36Sometimes it's just best for me to attend, I'll take the night off.
- 15:42I'll pay that $20 ticket to a good event.
- 15:47$50 ticket for a good event.
- 15:51VIP.
- 15:54Extra services, OK, maybe tickets for $10.
- 15:57OK, let me support the vendors.
- 15:59I have a little extra. Let me support the vendors.
- 16:01I know vendors need love.
- 16:04I always got to like that, you know, when the bills hits,
- 16:08the purchase of the money.
- 16:10Catch me on the third.
- 16:14So that's good networking and to still shake hands
- 16:17and still introduce yourself, still hear their story, their brand story.
- 16:22You know, even if you don't buy it, you know, sometimes they just need
- 16:25that exposure to talk to people and feel good about themselves.
- 16:30That morale boost.
- 16:32You know, that juice, that fuel pack.
- 16:37Maybe you talking to them gave them different perspectives.
- 16:42Well, how they could say, well, maybe you're not the customer or client.
- 16:47But you can still get the business card information or social media.
- 16:52Follow them, support them.
- 16:55You know, you can help them in any way.
- 16:59Let them know that.
- 17:00Or say you could do it in advance at a later time.
- 17:06And if they could do the same for you.
- 17:09And I'll start to build that relationship.
- 17:12Every month, maybe, hey, how you been? How's business?
- 17:17You never know.
- 17:18Maybe it could be partners someday down the line.
- 17:22You never know. Maybe each other's clients.
- 17:26You never know.
- 17:28And that's why I always keep that hope, keep that faith,
- 17:35because I've been hurt.
- 17:40So badly.
- 17:43So badly in my life, like trauma so much.
- 17:53And I know a lot of people, other people have to like everybody goes through it.
- 17:59Some people on deeper degrees or higher degrees,
- 18:02and I don't know how my ass up or compared to other people's.
- 18:07But I know we all feel this and all feel that hurt, all feel that pain.
- 18:13That pain sometime in your heart.
- 18:17It's like, oh, man.
- 18:20Really? Why do I got to have a day like this?
- 18:27And it hurts, you know, especially when.
- 18:34You have loved ones that.
- 18:37Do not know what's going on or do not understand or feel
- 18:43you feel like you don't think they understand to the way you want them
- 18:49to understand, they can have understanding, but not to the degree
- 18:53are specific ality that you will want them to.
- 18:58And it's interesting.
- 19:01So we can never force
- 19:03we can't force anything on anybody.
- 19:05That's not even your services.
- 19:07I know it's good to be aggressive is good to.
- 19:12And I'll be assertive and be passionate about your brand,
- 19:15the services and whatever you do, even if it's a physical product
- 19:19or digital, but you can't force anything on anyone.
- 19:27Go to the people who wants
- 19:31your services, your products,
- 19:33what you offer.
- 19:38If someone's allergic to chocolate milk or milk in general,
- 19:42why would you try to sell the milk?
- 19:47If they cannot drink it.
- 19:50Now, are there other uses of milk?
- 19:54I'm sure there's thousands.
- 19:56You would take a milk bath.
- 19:58I've never done that, but I've seen photo shoots.
- 20:03But, you know, it's depending on your message and your angle, so
- 20:08but nine times out of ten, people drink milk.
- 20:12So why sell to that 10 percent?
- 20:18When you have people that buy cereal, most people
- 20:22pour milk and cereal.
- 20:25And cereal with milk.
- 20:29Cookies with milk, so don't
- 20:31have somebody get cookie crisps, the cereal,
- 20:36and think they're not going to buy milk.
- 20:38You might even get 99 percent.
- 20:43Versus that 10 percent.
- 20:46So that's just something to look at,
- 20:49something to think about.
- 20:52Just want to give everybody that encouragement.
- 20:55My creative entrepreneurs, my business owners,
- 20:59my artists, creatives,
- 21:03media producers, content creators,
- 21:07photographers, event photographers specifically.
- 21:11But all my photographers, all my camera users,
- 21:15videographers, media producers, podcasters.
- 21:19I see y'all, I hear y'all, I feel y'all, I'm there.
- 21:24And whatever I need to create to help you get through that,
- 21:27let me know.
- 21:28I need to build a course, make a course,
- 21:31film it, do all this stuff, I will.
- 21:35I know I say I have a lot of things
- 21:38that I want to do and could do and should be doing.
- 21:43And dream about.
- 21:47I can only do one thing at a time most times, maybe two, but
- 21:52one thing at a time.
- 21:56But if you let me know and analyze to what I am
- 22:00agreeing with and feeling and what's already going to do,
- 22:04that's just confirmation that I really need to focus on this,
- 22:08make this priority versus another thing.
- 22:12So your feedback helps.
- 22:13Even the feedback for this show is podcast,
- 22:18alienized photos, industry talk.
- 22:23Like, this is my baby.
- 22:24This is this is something special.
- 22:28And I love it.
- 22:30I love you.
- 22:32I know you are great.
- 22:35Stay true to you.
- 22:37Keep elevating.
- 22:39Keep evolving.
- 22:40Keep growing.
- 22:42Stay calm.
- 22:43Take those deep breaths.
- 22:46You're wise, you're powerful, you're great.
- 22:50So there's greatness within you.
- 22:54When we come from the greatest source.
- 22:57So always remember that.
- 23:00Times get hard.
- 23:02It's only a phase, just like the moon.
- 23:05Let it carry over to the next day.
- 23:08Go to sleep, get your rest.
- 23:11No longer words to say.
- 23:15And this is alienized photos, industry talk with your host,
