  19. 1:41Because beauty told has had the pleasure of having you behind the scenes doing what you do best making sure that
  20. 1:48everything is
  21. 1:50Photo to a tee. Okay, and I am blessed to have you any time you come through that though

  26. 2:13No, I appreciate y'all like five years and to make it in counting
  27. 2:24A lot of podcasters fall off within the first year even businesses don't even make it to the second year
  28. 2:31So just to attest to that like then kudos to you and we still doing still growing
  29. 2:37I'm glad hey glad that you have
  30. 2:43Yes, sir
  31. 2:55St. Claire
  32. 3:00Where
  33. 3:0556 you know, it's just you know, we just organic
  34. 3:09We'll be hitting numbers all day
  35. 3:12game show
  36. 3:14Yeah, hundred fifty six percent clarify six bricks
  37. 3:20Between start off Lake Shore Grove would and then most of my year childhood years saying clear
  38. 3:27Wow, even my school of St. Claire, but it's crazy like
  39. 3:31You know just my origin story becoming a photographer. I
  40. 3:36Call it 12 shots because y'all remember them 12 shot cameras
  41. 3:39Cameras you wanted up. Yes
  42. 3:42Oh, I had a field trip. My mother brought me a camera and I use all of it within the first couple minutes
  43. 3:49So that's my origin story behind the camera, but
  44. 3:53Document everything because my my childhood hospital gone childhood homes gone childhood high school
  45. 4:00Go on my elementary
  46. 4:02Preschool a lot of things or even at Collinwood now is shut down
  47. 4:06So like all of my history is gone. So I don't have no photos or nothing to document
  48. 4:12And that's why I'm like, I'm more of a historian to anything
  49. 4:16Wow
  50. 4:19Documentation I'm making history literally so like, you know how they had MTV Cribs
  51. 4:24I can't ride past my childhood home. I grew up in that home
  52. 4:28So that's the main reason I personally became a photographer and you know
  53. 4:34I know I know I'm kind of jumping the gun, but just giving more of my ordinary story
  54. 4:39Well, I like it goes back to the throwback with the click click
  55. 4:45You know I'm saying because you have a kid it's like
  56. 4:51But one thing I prefer is but you are created for it
  57. 4:55Yes, sir, you are like any facet I feel like you have dabble in it and master it to a certain extent
  58. 5:01I love it poetry
  59. 5:05Make music you've done these things. So have you always that kid that a talent show
  60. 5:11We know more Steve up there or it was something that you grassy
  61. 5:16A lot of people want to be performed just like the camera. I'm more behind the scenes
  62. 5:20I would write it be in the studio. But as far as like
  63. 5:24publicly performing I did a couple of talent shows in school, but it didn't come to
  64. 5:31Whoo my later years in my 20s when I actually start performing performing constantly. I remember doing over
  65. 5:3850 plus shows in one year
  66. 5:40So that you gotta think about that's like multiple shows each week
  67. 5:48Well, I'm gonna actually I don't say shy but I'm introverted but that helps help me
  68. 5:56Broadcast my emotion feelings and thoughts. I'm always having the thoughts. I got a million thoughts running in my mind at once
  69. 6:04So it just helped me
  70. 6:07Structure and just get it all out my head and that became poetry and then poetry became music, you know
  71. 6:19It's funny because my producer my first producer was my brother and then he fell off I'm like
  72. 6:25I'm gonna continue that and still write and like I remember having those, you know instrumentals with the CDs
  73. 6:32You know where they had a single but they also had instrumental
  74. 6:36Like I'll rupture anything just freestyling just I'm talking about Barry White that that long timid
  75. 6:45Just freestyling anything
  76. 6:48Little Wayne in the before little Wayne little way. I was actually one of my favorite artists back in the hot boys days
  77. 6:53I'm like he gonna blow up
  78. 6:58So by the way
  79. 7:01You are you are you are avid basketball player
  80. 7:06Oh fun fact about you
  81. 7:10It's crazy I have a episode
  82. 7:14Eliminate all distractions even the NBA and I was gonna try out for the NBA G League
  83. 7:21For the Cavs G League team the charge. I took a step back. I'm like, it's a time investment
  84. 7:28Financial investment. I'm gonna be tired cuz I have to work. It was like
  85. 7:33I'm like, I'm older than most cats. They coming fresh out of high school college
  86. 7:38taller fashion like
  87. 7:40But I end up not doing it and focus more on my podcast my business
  88. 7:45Alienize photos, so check that episode out alienize photos industry talk
  89. 7:51Eliminate all distractions even the NBA but yeah, I love basketball
  90. 7:56I played in high school middle school when undefeated my eighth grade year
  91. 8:06MVP of my
  92. 8:07So I didn't make this funny I didn't make the varsity our
  93. 8:12Junior varsity, but they had a freshman team. Okay
  94. 8:15I ended up making MVP of that captain of that captain across country, which I became the only runner everybody else fell off
  95. 8:22So by default captain of the cross country team tracks. I was like, you know, just just being out here
  96. 8:30An athlete
  97. 8:4516 16 for
  98. 8:47and might have elevated out. So we're in the staircase. We had to go up to the sixth floor.
  99. 8:55Sensei is gone. He's gone. I'm like, what is this? With the cake, with the birthday cake.
  100. 9:02I am dying in the stairwell. It was hot. I've never seen Sensei. He was like, come on,
  101. 9:12come on, come on, come on. Oh, he was coached, Sensei. So that makes sense. I mean, he could go.
  102. 9:23Well, I ain't slim for nothing. I got a little dad bod now, but you know, I try to, I try to,
  103. 9:28you know, be out there. I used to be a fitness coach for a few months with Herbal Life.
  104. 9:36What? We find out so much about Sensei. Yeah, you know, I'm a dad bod in it, but I had a lot
  105. 9:41of people run hills. So I can't just say, oh, run these hills. I do it with you. I ain't
  106. 9:46going to tell you, dude. I do it with you. That's how I am, you know, with my teaching and
  107. 9:50I do it with you. Okay. I'm pretty sure. That's why we're here. Yeah, we was like,
  108. 9:58wait for this episode. Okay. So we are realizing that we have so many different hats that you're
  109. 10:06wearing at such a young age in your life, you know, cause you're in your early twenties and
  110. 10:10you're really starting to like dibble and dabble and everything. Now they say everything
  111. 10:14happens in seasons. So was it poetry first and then that transition to music and what
  112. 10:21I guess led you to start one and then end one to start something new.
  113. 10:26It was all together. I would say poetry came first because it was just writing my thoughts out
  114. 10:34and then my brother started producing with Fruity Loops FL Studio. I'm like, oh yeah. Then he
  115. 10:40went over to Japan and the military and kind of got straight away. I'm like, so what's up,
  116. 10:46man? We, you know, we brothers, we get one, two punch it like that. So I just had to,
  117. 10:51you know, continue myself. I've always been a writer, whether that's books, poetry, music.
  118. 10:56I just love writing, you know, so that's how it all started is writing, just writing is writing.
  119. 11:02Wow. That's impressive. Now. Okay. So you, you realize so poetry and music is together.
  120. 11:10So I guess maybe my next question is when does photography come into play? Cause we,
  121. 11:16we talked about, you know, rewind when you had the little clickety click and that was like
  122. 11:22first little trial into, you know, being able to know about photos and the importance of
  123. 11:27documenting. So how does that, you know, moving forward come into play?
  124. 11:32Going from the film days, um, can't say I'm a film photographer naturally, but
  125. 11:38all the way to, I would say it's the end, end of my music poetry career,
  126. 11:47where I used to host, perform, be featured, but I would still film others and take pictures on my
  127. 11:56phone. I'm like, this is content that I want for myself. If I'm an artist, I want to, you
  128. 12:00know, have video to post and take pictures, remember the day, see myself in action,
  129. 12:06critique myself. So I'm like, let me just do it for others. Even if it's like a couple
  130. 12:10minutes, you know, boom, boom, boom, send it to them. Oh, thanks, man. This is dope.
  131. 12:14I'm like, Oh, really is dope. So I'm like, I'm seeing how a lot of people are getting paid.
  132. 12:21It was mainly through, you know, photography, video at different events. Like I said,
  133. 12:27I was doing 50 plus shows. So I'm starting to see the whole, just standing back,
  134. 12:31just seeing the whole event structures and how they set up and the flow and everything.
  135. 12:36I'm like, Oh, how to move, how the money's moving. And they say it's not a lot of money
  136. 12:41in poetry or poets don't get paid, which is true. And with my music, a lot of people
  137. 12:47didn't want to pay my rate. So it's like almost default to poetry. Like they want me to do
  138. 12:52something free. You get like a palm or two. That's it. I ain't enjoying the song. Like,
  139. 12:58cause that's, I do a performance like Michael Jackson. I ain't just up there reciting,
  140. 13:03oh, hey, yeah, yeah. Like, no, I'm moving. I'm coming from the ceiling.
  141. 13:06I remember one. I gotta see the video for this. Oh, man.
  142. 13:13I'll come from there. You hear my voice from the back room and like, where you got?
  143. 13:17And then I just come out like, oh, like, you know, make it.
  144. 13:21You know where we seen that? Futureland where he's on stage. Sensei, we all on
  145. 13:25stage. Sensei said, no, I'm going to be right in front. Yeah. Remember when he jumped
  146. 13:28down and he was out there. He was down there with the audience. That's my, that's
  147. 13:36I didn't know y'all was on stage yet. Like I'm yelling through the halls. It's like,
  148. 13:42they're on stage. I'm like, oh, that's, that's my people. I'm supposed to be on stage too.
  149. 13:47I'm on a hype like, yeah. I'm like, I didn't know we was on stage. So I came back and then
  150. 13:55like our slides were on. It was like a whole bunch of-
  151. 13:58It was a whole bunch. We'll talk about it. We'll talk about the part of pivot.
  152. 14:01Yeah.
  153. 14:01So I was already off the stage trying to work with that behind the scenes.
  154. 14:05So I was just like, well, just, you know, I want to interact with her. I like walking and moving
  155. 14:10sitting right down next to you. You know, this is what I've been through in my life.
  156. 14:14You know what I mean? Like engaging with the crowd and feeling them. You know,
  157. 14:17that connection and that, that I kind of like really, you know, like Michael Jackson on
  158. 14:24stage, they are already fainting and usher. What if they came and sit down next to you?
  159. 14:28It's a different experience.
  160. 14:29Oh my gosh. Yeah. It's a memorable one because those are the things that
  161. 14:33people remember 5, 10, 20 years.
  162. 14:36It's like, I'm like, Jesus, am I going out now?
  163. 14:37Yeah.
  164. 14:37If I go to a concert with the performers, just, come on, y'all say it.
  165. 14:41Yes.
  166. 14:41Okay.
  167. 14:42They call it that. Everybody had their style, you know?
  168. 14:44But sometimes you get a little old. Love you Mary J. Blige, but girl,
  169. 14:48you're going to have to pick it up now.
  170. 14:54Yes, yes.
  171. 14:55So I do have to ask this. So I'm very curious to know.
  172. 14:59Okay.
  173. 14:59Child of the podcast. But when you said that you ended your poetry
  174. 15:06in your basically a music scene to be able to now start going into photography, what,
  175. 15:13what was the, what was the sign that you knew that it was time to end that season?
  176. 15:18I know everything goes in season, but what was your like,
  177. 15:21yeah, I'm gonna have to hang this up.
  178. 15:23Like towards the end, I'll end up losing my grandfather.
  179. 15:26Like my first time crying in front of an audience, in front of people publicly,
  180. 15:33like it just all came out. So I couldn't even get my words right.
  181. 15:35One of my staple poems, like,
  182. 15:39like can't remember the words and this is all okay.
  183. 15:42I'm like, look, I'm going to just talk to y'all, you know,
  184. 15:45whatever you've been through, you know, just really giving them a heart
  185. 15:48and what I felt at the time, like I ain't going to perform.
  186. 15:51I'm just giving a real raw me. And that's also spoken word. That's poetry.
  187. 15:54You know, it's just that raw.
  188. 15:56Emotion. But when I, when I go into something,
  189. 16:01I like studying it, practicing it.
  190. 16:04So I'm like, if I'm going to go in photography and video,
  191. 16:07I'm going to go all in. I'm going to study.
  192. 16:08So I did countless hours study, whole bunch of free events,
  193. 16:12just going to different events, always bringing my camera everywhere I go.
  194. 16:15Now everybody assume, oh, you got your camera.
  195. 16:18Can you get a picture here?
  196. 16:19So I stopped bringing it with me because that's when I started
  197. 16:22transitioning into a business and learning more about the business.
  198. 16:25As a photographer first and then add a video.
  199. 16:29You are a mentor to so many others, right?
  200. 16:31But when you first started out, who was the mentors or people
  201. 16:33who were showing you the photography side at all?
  202. 16:37Because I had nobody.
  203. 16:38So you got to trial and error.
  204. 16:41Yes. Not, not till later in my career.
  205. 16:44I was fortunate to meet Sean Lee Jones.
  206. 16:49Yes, yes, yes. I know he's been a couple of events.
  207. 16:52He was at the podcast workshop we did.
  208. 16:55He's real good friends with Asia.
  209. 16:58So, yeah, like, man, he took me.
  210. 17:01He's like, grab this 50 millimeter.
  211. 17:05Now I'm like, 50. I'm looking at it.
  212. 17:06Do I say five? Like, which one?
  213. 17:09I don't know. He's like, shoot B-roll.
  214. 17:12I ain't no B-roll, man. Get this, get that.
  215. 17:15I'm like.
  216. 17:15I'm sorry, since you got to say what B-roll is,
  217. 17:19still don't know what it is.
  218. 17:20When you say B-roll, what do you mean?
  219. 17:24Now y'all already know.
  220. 17:25So, so the main camera is the A-roll,
  221. 17:28which you mainly see in front of you.
  222. 17:30And then behind the scenes, the complimentary footage,
  223. 17:33that's the B-roll with the secondary.
  224. 17:35Like that's more so B-roll.
  225. 17:37And that's the main, like, you know.
  226. 17:40Or we show a picture of the setup,
  227. 17:42like that'd be B-roll.
  228. 17:44Oh, okay. Now I know.
  229. 17:45Thank you, Brandon, for pointing that out.
  230. 17:48Anytime, you know.
  231. 17:50Yeah. So what about y'all?
  232. 17:51When y'all first started getting into,
  233. 17:54production and podcast,
  234. 17:55and what were y'all initial thoughts?
  235. 17:57Well, that was you, Sensei.
  236. 17:59The hands down.
  237. 18:01Well, but even before, like even a thought,
  238. 18:03like what made you want to start a fire there?
  239. 18:05You already know.
  240. 18:06It's the Davis Shands.
  241. 18:07Forever.
  242. 18:08Okay.
  243. 18:09Shout out to Davis Shands.
  244. 18:10Shout out to Davis Shands.
  245. 18:11No, hands down.
  246. 18:12I will forever be grateful for that man,
  247. 18:14because listen to the group, man.
  248. 18:17You actually got me hip to Davis Shands.
  249. 18:18Me too.
  250. 18:19I didn't know anything about him until you.
  251. 18:21What?
  252. 18:21Yeah.
  253. 18:22Yeah.
  254. 18:22Okay.
  255. 18:23And Donnie just happened to be a bonus,
  256. 18:25because I definitely knew about her.
  257. 18:26Man, listen.
  258. 18:27I loved them together.
  259. 18:28Dave and Donnie are my friends.
  260. 18:30Absolutely.
  261. 18:30No, no, listen.
  262. 18:31I'll listen.
  263. 18:32You want something about hours,
  264. 18:33hours consuming podcast,
  265. 18:36commutes,
  266. 18:37anytime, free time,
  267. 18:38I'm going to cut the ground with the podcast or what not.
  268. 18:40Hey, same, same.
  269. 18:41That and audiobooks, like man.
  270. 18:43After music, it's like I heard somebody say,
  271. 18:45if you're not rich, you shouldn't be listening to music.
  272. 18:47You should be learning.
  273. 18:49So I'm like, I'm learning until I'm rich.
  274. 18:51Somebody said the same thing about TV.
  275. 18:53You ain't rich, you shouldn't be watching TV, movies.
  276. 18:55That's why I'd be like,
  277. 18:57you ain't never seen so-and-so?
  278. 18:58I'm like, I ain't watch TV.
  279. 19:01I'm either working, studying.
  280. 19:03I don't even have a TV in my bedroom.
  281. 19:04That's how serious it is.
  282. 19:06Well, for me, I can use a break though.
  283. 19:08So I'm like, we can watch TV.
  284. 19:08No, man, yeah.
  285. 19:10Sometimes, but you know,
  286. 19:12my lady behind the camera.
  287. 19:14Whoop, whoop, shout out to her.
  288. 19:16Brie, you know, be getting mad at me.
  289. 19:18Oh, we about to watch so-and-so.
  290. 19:23All right, it's funny because my daughter's seven.
  291. 19:26She'd be like, oh, you know, are we going to the movies?
  292. 19:29I'd be like, yeah, are we going to the movies?
  293. 19:31Oh, just to go to sleep.
  294. 19:32You pay for a nap.
  295. 19:34She'd pay for a nap, my profession.
  296. 19:36I'd be kicking.
  297. 19:39She'd be like, I'm-
  298. 19:39She's more of an entrepreneur, if you ask me.
  299. 19:42Yeah.
  300. 19:42Well, if a lot of movies start slow,
  301. 19:45that's the importance of a hook.
  302. 19:47With anything you do, your content,
  303. 19:48your podcast videos and movies,
  304. 19:50you got to have that.
  305. 19:51But you got to draw them in
  306. 19:52because a movie start off slow and I'm-
  307. 19:55Yeah, you ain't the only one.
  308. 19:57I do so much.
  309. 19:58I'm tired.
  310. 19:58My mind be going like, man, it's dark.
  311. 20:02I'm going to sleep.
  312. 20:06Man, I mean, even outside of that,
  313. 20:09it was like, events.
  314. 20:10I'm like, man, I could be doing so much other stuff.
  315. 20:13But you know, we already make the most out of it.
  316. 20:16That's true.
  317. 20:16You got your friends in the moment since then.
  318. 20:18What about you with the podcast though?
  319. 20:20Before you get too far.
  320. 20:23I wanted to do podcasting
  321. 20:25because of being on the full of experience.
  322. 20:29I didn't know.
  323. 20:30But you know, sometimes you don't realize
  324. 20:31how God sets everything up
  325. 20:34and he's very crafty at what he does.
  326. 20:38So I didn't know that all my journals
  327. 20:40that I had been journaling
  328. 20:41during the most painful moments of my life
  329. 20:44would eventually be the foundation
  330. 20:47of what U2TOE would be born off of.
  331. 20:50Beautiful podcast, by the way.
  332. 20:52Thank you.
  333. 20:52Thank you.
  334. 20:53And it's even more beautiful,
  335. 20:54which I'll help.
  336. 20:55Hallelujah.
  337. 20:56Well, yeah, you know, I will appreciate it.
  338. 20:59And I think a lot of studios.
  339. 21:01For sure.
  340. 21:02I'm like, wow, this is amazing.
  341. 21:03Even stuff that I don't do,
  342. 21:06like, you know, you could teach somebody things,
  343. 21:08but, you know, they surpass you.
  344. 21:11That's even amazing for them.
  345. 21:13For sure.
  346. 21:14And you've talked about how you,
  347. 21:17when you decided to go into photography,
  348. 21:18you spoke on how you kind of self-taught yourself.
  349. 21:22But what did that all include
  350. 21:24was that U2TOE University was that,
  351. 21:27I know you said later became a mentor,
  352. 21:29but what did you do prior to the mentor
  353. 21:31as far as educating yourself?
  354. 21:33Well, you could always sit down with U2TOE
  355. 21:35and watch videos.
  356. 21:37Like I purchased a lot of e-books, courses,
  357. 21:40whether if I finish them or not,
  358. 21:42it's up to, you know,
  359. 21:43I try to, I spend money.
  360. 21:45For sure.
  361. 21:46It's just about getting out in the field,
  362. 21:48you know, practicing, we're all like,
  363. 21:49oh, you won't never know until you try it.
  364. 21:51Like, I didn't know what,
  365. 21:53how shutter speed affects the aperture,
  366. 21:54affects the ISO.
  367. 21:56I know y'all looking at me like,
  368. 21:58Well, Brandon, he's looking very confused.
  369. 22:01That's how I was.
  370. 22:02I mean, even Bree,
  371. 22:03like just breaking it down to her,
  372. 22:04she's like, what is what?
  373. 22:05So I'm like, okay,
  374. 22:06if I could teach it to somebody else,
  375. 22:08I know that I could master it
  376. 22:10and understand it better.
  377. 22:11Like even teaching my daughter's photography,
  378. 22:14like, you know, two days.
  379. 22:15So I know, you know,
  380. 22:17I could teach anybody,
  381. 22:17if I could teach a little kid in two days.
  382. 22:20So, but yeah,
  383. 22:22just bringing my camera wherever I go,
  384. 22:24just practicing in the dark,
  385. 22:26bright outside, inside,
  386. 22:29like different environments,
  387. 22:31just practice, practice, practice,
  388. 22:32practice, practice, practice.
  389. 22:33Sometimes they don't even see the picture.
  390. 22:35It's just me just getting my reps.
  391. 22:37And me and Bree,
  392. 22:38we all about reps replace doubt.
  393. 22:41Come on now.
  394. 22:42I feel it, that's our mantra.
  395. 22:43That's our mantra.
  396. 22:44And also purpose push it.
  397. 22:46We got to push that.
  398. 22:47Figure it out.
  399. 22:47Yeah, we got to figure it out.
  400. 22:48But the reps though,
  401. 22:49you know, the reps, man.
  402. 22:50Just like the gym.
  403. 22:52Now you're doing your sleep now, Sensei.
  404. 22:55Yeah.
  405. 22:55I'm just going to show me the move
  406. 22:57when you come up or whatnot,
  407. 22:59when you're recording.
  408. 23:00The panning.
  409. 23:00Yeah, the panning, the panning.
  410. 23:02Listen, I feel like that's why
  411. 23:03my signature move.
  412. 23:04That's your signature move.
  413. 23:05I love it.
  414. 23:06I love it.
  415. 23:06I love it.
  416. 23:07You know, everybody got a signature move,
  417. 23:09just like Spike Lee,
  418. 23:09he got that like.
  419. 23:11Yeah, that's true.
  420. 23:12So I was like, what can I do?
  421. 23:13I still haven't perfected myself
  422. 23:15so what I really want to do,
  423. 23:16but I'm always changing, you know.
  424. 23:18So, you know, coming down from the ceiling
  425. 23:20and like I did a lot of that
  426. 23:22in the early days.
  427. 23:23So if y'all see that
  428. 23:24with the pull up experience,
  429. 23:25the early days coming in the scene.
  430. 23:28So just trying things.
  431. 23:31Experimentation.
  432. 23:31Oh yeah, you brought it back
  433. 23:32when you did my little promo,
  434. 23:35real thing.
  435. 23:36You keep trying stuff.
  436. 23:37I said, okay.
  437. 23:38Like if I wasn't a creative,
  438. 23:40I'd be a scientist,
  439. 23:41which is still creativity to me.
  440. 23:43A mad scientist,
  441. 23:44being in a lab,
  442. 23:46testing it,
  443. 23:46pouring to you wines,
  444. 23:48pouring this and that
  445. 23:49with a drink of cranberry juice.
  446. 23:50Let's think about this.
  447. 23:51I feel like there's nothing
  448. 23:52that you cannot do, brother,
  449. 23:54because you do it
  450. 23:55and you're going to try it
  451. 23:56and you're going to even,
  452. 23:58and with enough time,
  453. 23:59you just like,
  454. 23:59if you're going to give the child
  455. 24:00enough of equipment or something
  456. 24:04or time or something,
  457. 24:05they're going to figure it out.
  458. 24:06I feel like that's the same thing
  459. 24:07with you, man.
  460. 24:07Yeah.
  461. 24:08Like you just,
  462. 24:09I'm naturally inquisitive
  463. 24:10and you're going to actually sell it, man.
  464. 24:12Well, just not being afraid to fail,
  465. 24:14you know,
  466. 24:15and then even with the failures,
  467. 24:16you know,
  468. 24:17it's lessons you learn,
  469. 24:18you know,
  470. 24:19just with me,
  471. 24:20like I didn't use flash
  472. 24:22for the longest.
  473. 24:23I'm like,
  474. 24:23I'm just using my camera,
  475. 24:24but just adding the light
  476. 24:26and seeing how better
  477. 24:27the pictures come out
  478. 24:28and like,
  479. 24:29especially like with art complex,
  480. 24:30like darker complexions,
  481. 24:32you don't need that light.
  482. 24:34You're going to need that light.
  483. 24:35Man, I got sensei stories
  484. 24:37off all day,
  485. 24:38but I remember he was teaching me
  486. 24:40that point.
  487. 24:41Well, first of all,
  488. 24:42I don't know if you talk to others,
  489. 24:43but he's like master of the iPhone.
  490. 24:45For sensei,
  491. 24:46I know I didn't know anything
  492. 24:48about the timer.
  493. 24:49I know about the levels.
  494. 24:51I know anything about
  495. 24:53actually using the iPhone
  496. 24:55to do both for targeting.
  497. 24:56Yeah.
  498. 24:57Sensei,
  499. 24:57I'm used to the practice.
  500. 24:58Okay.
  501. 24:58Now I'm like,
  502. 24:59I can do it.
  503. 25:00I can do it now,
  504. 25:01you know?
  505. 25:01Yes, sir.
  506. 25:02I love it.
  507. 25:02I was showing just,
  508. 25:03well, one time,
  509. 25:04I was like,
  510. 25:04show me what you do with your iPhone.
  511. 25:06Man, listen,
  512. 25:07you are the goat.
  513. 25:09Okay.
  514. 25:09For sure.
  515. 25:09Well, I started with iPhone,
  516. 25:11that's how I kind of master
  517. 25:13before I purchased the camera.
  518. 25:14You know,
  519. 25:16first, you know,
  520. 25:17$800 and then,
  521. 25:18like, okay,
  522. 25:19I need actually a more professional camera
  523. 25:21and then we get into the thousands
  524. 25:22and stuff like that.
  525. 25:24Yeah, I started with the iPhone.
  526. 25:26I still shoot a lot of good content
  527. 25:27with the iPhone.
  528. 25:28I'm like, man,
  529. 25:28I miss it.
  530. 25:30I know y'all see me be doing that.
  531. 25:31I do see you doing that.
  532. 25:34Because it's light too.
  533. 25:35So I get to,
  534. 25:36I'm a mover,
  535. 25:37like even,
  536. 25:39I love moving.
  537. 25:40Like with video,
  538. 25:41I could stand still,
  539. 25:42but it's like,
  540. 25:43that's not me.
  541. 25:45I'm like, say,
  542. 25:45an athlete.
  543. 25:46I love movement,
  544. 25:48being engaged
  545. 25:48and showing the action
  546. 25:49and different angles,
  547. 25:51seeing the emotion
  548. 25:52from different people.
  549. 25:54So that's your style right there.
  550. 25:55That's my style.
  551. 25:56Okay.
  552. 25:56Okay.
  553. 25:57So I'm going to get back
  554. 25:58to the journey, brother,
  555. 25:58because,
  556. 25:59so, you start,
  557. 26:00you start,
  558. 26:02you're like a,
  559. 26:04not a novice,
  560. 26:05but you still,
  561. 26:06you still amateur,
  562. 26:06but you still,
  563. 26:07you do affect the crowd.
  564. 26:08Where does launch art
  565. 26:09play into the scheme of things?
  566. 26:13Again, shout out to mentors.
  567. 26:14Shout out to my mentors,
  568. 26:15Sean Lee Jones,
  569. 26:17who introduced me
  570. 26:18to the CEO of LaunchArts,
  571. 26:21Mr. Jamar Newell.
  572. 26:24And then becoming
  573. 26:26another mentor.
  574. 26:27So it's like,
  575. 26:28I have two mentors
  576. 26:29in media.
  577. 26:31And man,
  578. 26:33man,
  579. 26:33we just built
  580. 26:34a beautiful relationship
  581. 26:35and ended up becoming
  582. 26:36vice president
  583. 26:37at the production side
  584. 26:39of the business.
  585. 26:40So like,
  586. 26:41just him trusting me
  587. 26:42and sending me
  588. 26:43even sometimes by myself
  589. 26:45or with,
  590. 26:45you know,
  591. 26:46other team members,
  592. 26:48just building that trust,
  593. 26:48building that reps.
  594. 26:49We did it together
  595. 26:50for so long.
  596. 26:51So it's like,
  597. 26:53if we could kind of have
  598. 26:54an A and a B team,
  599. 26:55we could build it out
  600. 26:56even faster.
  601. 26:58You know,
  602. 26:58we just kept
  603. 26:59in communication,
  604. 27:00growing,
  605. 27:01just being honest
  606. 27:01with each other,
  607. 27:02even outside of the production,
  608. 27:04just becoming,
  609. 27:05you know,
  610. 27:05friends.
  611. 27:07And, you know,
  612. 27:08he telling me personal things
  613. 27:10even, you know,
  614. 27:10with his family is like,
  615. 27:12you know,
  616. 27:12I get it, you know.
  617. 27:14Even outside of business
  618. 27:16and production,
  619. 27:17we still have our personal lives.
  620. 27:20You know,
  621. 27:20I just didn't want him
  622. 27:21to never forget that.
  623. 27:23And that's just
  624. 27:24with anybody in life,
  625. 27:25you know,
  626. 27:25with y'all, you know.
  627. 27:27It ain't always business,
  628. 27:28ain't always podcasting,
  629. 27:29like, you know,
  630. 27:31whatever y'all,
  631. 27:31you know,
  632. 27:32want to talk about,
  633. 27:32need to talk about,
  634. 27:33we can.
  635. 27:35Listen,
  636. 27:35Steve and,
  637. 27:36Steve in mediated,
  638. 27:37Steve to be the first thing,
  639. 27:39shoot an engagement,
  640. 27:40Steve, you see,
  641. 27:41we family, okay?
  642. 27:42For sure.
  643. 27:43We gang gang.
  644. 27:44But I want to own,
  645. 27:44I want to be part of Jamar, man.
  646. 27:45Because one,
  647. 27:46Jamar,
  648. 27:47his hand up,
  649. 27:48he's an entrepreneur.
  650. 27:50Man.
  651. 27:50Entrepreneur,
  652. 27:51I want to be part of that,
  653. 27:52because like,
  654. 27:53he built a launch artist,
  655. 27:53that was phenomenal.
  656. 27:54But because he,
  657. 27:55since this industry,
  658. 27:56so Jamar was out there,
  659. 27:57and seeing how a launch artist was,
  660. 27:59the teamwork y'all did.
  661. 28:00Let's see,
  662. 28:01we were at that,
  663. 28:02have a discussion
  664. 28:03on that,
  665. 28:04was it Space 65,
  666. 28:05whatever.
  667. 28:06And y'all had the whole team there,
  668. 28:08and I know you're doing this thing,
  669. 28:09and I'm seeing,
  670. 28:10and how easily,
  671. 28:11and how you lead,
  672. 28:12and how y'all are directing.
  673. 28:13Yeah.
  674. 28:13It's about more work, man.
  675. 28:14Oh, yeah.
  676. 28:15That's,
  677. 28:16like,
  678. 28:16I didn't have no,
  679. 28:18like,
  680. 28:18I could do like the switcher,
  681. 28:20which is,
  682. 28:20you know,
  683. 28:20you switch a lot of time,
  684. 28:21but like,
  685. 28:22it was like,
  686. 28:23yeah,
  687. 28:23I could do that,
  688. 28:24but I'd just rather bring in my team.
  689. 28:27Like,
  690. 28:27I took a pay cut,
  691. 28:28I even lost money,
  692. 28:29because,
  693. 28:31yeah,
  694. 28:31they kind of flaked on,
  695. 28:33you know,
  696. 28:33that's when I had payment plans,
  697. 28:35six months.
  698. 28:36And yeah,
  699. 28:36that's a whole another story,
  700. 28:38but yeah,
  701. 28:38just the business lessons
  702. 28:40you learn along the go,
  703. 28:41like,
  704. 28:41no,
  705. 28:41you get payment up front now.
  706. 28:43Like,
  707. 28:43you mess it up for everybody.
  708. 28:46Oh,
  709. 28:46that's good.
  710. 28:47Actually,
  711. 28:47I think that that's a very important piece,
  712. 28:49because I know early in our conversation
  713. 28:51that you mentioned,
  714. 28:52as you were getting your feet wet
  715. 28:54in photography,
  716. 28:55that you were doing things for free,
  717. 28:56just so that way,
  718. 28:57you could be able to,
  719. 28:58like,
  720. 28:58build that portfolio,
  721. 28:59and get your name out here.
  722. 29:01When did free become a feat?
  723. 29:05That's crazy.
  724. 29:06My good friend,
  725. 29:09E-Rod Beats,
  726. 29:09he is actually,
  727. 29:11he was actually one of my last producers
  728. 29:13I worked with
  729. 29:13when I was actively doing music,
  730. 29:15and it's crazy,
  731. 29:16all the songs he produced,
  732. 29:17I don't think I'll publicly publish,
  733. 29:23but they just often to cut
  734. 29:24in the storage,
  735. 29:25you know.
  736. 29:27In a vault,
  737. 29:28just collecting junk.
  738. 29:31so,
  739. 29:32he was actually my first client.
  740. 29:34I charged $50 for his,
  741. 29:36a birthday session with him,
  742. 29:38you know,
  743. 29:39I'm proud and,
  744. 29:40you know,
  745. 29:41happy he trusted me,
  746. 29:43and was like,
  747. 29:44man,
  748. 29:44here,
  749. 29:45this is,
  750. 29:46this is what I got.
  751. 29:47So I'm like,
  752. 29:48okay,
  753. 29:48so I end up keeping that $50
  754. 29:50as a benchmark
  755. 29:52for a while,
  756. 29:53and then slowly increasing,
  757. 29:54and that became $150,
  758. 29:57and da da da da,
  759. 29:58so all the way where I'm at now,
  760. 29:59to where,
  761. 30:00even doing research
  762. 30:01on the market in Cleveland,
  763. 30:02I can't charge thousands,
  764. 30:03like,
  765. 30:04if I went somewhere else,
  766. 30:05California,
  767. 30:06Atlanta,
  768. 30:06New York,
  769. 30:07so just knowing your market
  770. 30:08and doing your research,
  771. 30:09because a lot of people
  772. 30:10are not going to pay that,
  773. 30:11but you also want to,
  774. 30:12you know,
  775. 30:13know your work
  776. 30:13and charge your work for sure.
  777. 30:15Okay.
  778. 30:16Well,
  779. 30:16I think that's a good tip
  780. 30:17for those,
  781. 30:18you know,
  782. 30:18entrepreneurs that are trying to figure out
  783. 30:20how to navigate their pricing.
  784. 30:23It's very important
  785. 30:24that you do the research
  786. 30:25and just see where the market is.
  787. 30:27So like you said,
  788. 30:28you're not overcharging,
  789. 30:29but you're not under,
  790. 30:30you know,
  791. 30:31value.
  792. 30:32I'm not overcharged,
  793. 30:32no.
  794. 30:34Well,
  795. 30:34I mean,
  796. 30:35they might be wondering
  797. 30:35why the phone ain't ringing,
  798. 30:37but I get what you're saying.
  799. 30:38And I guess that is the risk,
  800. 30:40you know,
  801. 30:42with being an entrepreneur
  802. 30:43is that,
  803. 30:44you know,
  804. 30:44there are some people
  805. 30:45that's just not going to be willing
  806. 30:46to pay that fee
  807. 30:47and are you okay with it?
  808. 30:48Yeah,
  809. 30:49like I've been burnt out.
  810. 30:50That's what made me increase.
  811. 30:52I'm like,
  812. 30:52I'm doing,
  813. 30:54I'm doing the event.
  814. 30:55That's time right there.
  815. 30:56And then I'm coming home
  816. 30:57and doing homework.
  817. 30:58Like in school,
  818. 30:59I love school.
  819. 31:00Like I really did,
  820. 31:01but I didn't like homework.
  821. 31:03I'm not bringing work home
  822. 31:05and doing work
  823. 31:05I want to play,
  824. 31:08you know what I mean?
  825. 31:09Like I want to do what I do,
  826. 31:10play basketball,
  827. 31:11play video games,
  828. 31:12make music.
  829. 31:13Like I don't want to be stuck
  830. 31:14doing homework.
  831. 31:15And that's what I start to feel
  832. 31:17like coming home
  833. 31:18and having to edit long hours,
  834. 31:20especially when I did my first wedding.
  835. 31:22I'm like,
  836. 31:23it's like four,
  837. 31:24five,
  838. 31:25six,
  839. 31:25seven weeks.
  840. 31:26I'm like,
  841. 31:26dang,
  842. 31:26I've got my life back.
  843. 31:28My daughter came,
  844. 31:29can we go to the park?
  845. 31:30I got to edit.
  846. 31:32Like I'm like,
  847. 31:33yeah,
  848. 31:33something got to change
  849. 31:34and that's the importance of
  850. 31:35team hiring staff
  851. 31:37and charging,
  852. 31:38you know,
  853. 31:39accordingly.
  854. 31:41So it's all a trial and error.
  855. 31:43It definitely is.
  856. 31:45So what's the biggest lesson
  857. 31:47that you've learned
  858. 31:48from,
  859. 31:49I guess,
  860. 31:49the business aspect of things?
  861. 31:52What would you say
  862. 31:52is the biggest lesson learned?
  863. 31:55Don't be afraid to reach out.
  864. 31:58And this is more so
  865. 31:59like lead generation.
  866. 32:00Don't be afraid to reach out
  867. 32:01and the power of the follow-up.
  868. 32:03Like I met so many clients
  869. 32:05and great opportunities
  870. 32:08because I simply did not follow up
  871. 32:11or because I was too busy
  872. 32:12or tired.
  873. 32:14Like, man,
  874. 32:15that follow-up is everything.
  875. 32:17Don't be afraid to reach out.
  876. 32:18If somebody that you want to work with,
  877. 32:21reach out.
  878. 32:22The worst they can say is no.
  879. 32:33It was actually all in the same year
  880. 32:35launch arts and pull-up experience.
  881. 32:36So like almost like identical same time.
  882. 32:39It was July
  883. 32:41and then August for launch.
  884. 32:43So it was like right at the same time.
  885. 32:49I'm saying that's all like
  886. 32:50we got to kind of build this out.
  887. 32:52We got the production,
  888. 32:53you know what I mean?
  889. 32:54And it's still in the works,
  890. 32:55you know,
  891. 32:56what it could actually look like
  892. 32:57with the power collaboration
  893. 32:59between my brand and launch arts.
  894. 33:01Like I literally
  895. 33:02got it on the back of the shirt.
  896. 33:03All right, all right.
  897. 33:05I got it.
  898. 33:06Y'all got it.
  899. 33:07We get it.
  900. 33:10Good knees to the knee.
  901. 33:10I'm going to do it slowly.
  902. 33:13But you know,
  903. 33:14it's just everything.
  904. 33:15You know,
  905. 33:15I'm always promoting rather than my brand
  906. 33:18or pull-up experience exclusively,
  907. 33:20launch arts exclusively,
  908. 33:22my podcast exclusively,
  909. 33:23somebody else's brand exclusively.
  910. 33:25So you want like,
  911. 33:26it doesn't matter.
  912. 33:28I'm going to always promote,
  913. 33:29you know,
  914. 33:29like I could wear polo
  915. 33:31or Sean John
  916. 33:33or Tommy Hilfiger
  917. 33:35or any other brand,
  918. 33:36but why not brands
  919. 33:38that I actually work with
  920. 33:39that I'm a part of
  921. 33:41and that I'm building.
  922. 33:43You got the pull-up experience,
  923. 33:44the pull-up experience.
  924. 33:45We could wear anything.
  925. 33:46Why not promote yourself?
  926. 33:48Come on.
  927. 33:49So that's how I look at it.
  928. 33:50That's huge.
  929. 33:51Speaking of wearing yourself,
  930. 33:54you know,
  931. 33:55when it comes to photographer Jackson,
  932. 33:57when it comes to
  933. 33:58the importance of a name,
  934. 34:02when did Alienize Photo
  935. 34:05become the name
  936. 34:06and how did that come about in general?
  937. 34:09Boy, you're getting me scared for a minute.
  938. 34:12You sound like Maury,
  939. 34:13like you are not the father
  940. 34:15when it comes to,
  941. 34:17I'm like,
  942. 34:19you are.
  943. 34:20We found some tweets in 05.
  944. 34:24I got a couple,
  945. 34:26but the importance of a name,
  946. 34:28so my first artist name was
  947. 34:34DJ Powerhouse
  948. 34:35because my nickname is DJ,
  949. 34:36family name DJ,
  950. 34:38S DJ,
  951. 34:39but I dropped the S.
  952. 34:41So I was called DJ
  953. 34:44and I put it in front of player,
  954. 34:47so DJ player
  955. 34:47because I'm walking down the street,
  956. 34:49like I didn't like getting my haircut,
  957. 34:52as y'all can see,
  958. 34:53growing up
  959. 34:54because I didn't have my father in my life.
  960. 34:56So it's like going to the barbershop.
  961. 34:57It just felt like that emptiness
  962. 34:59and that loneliness.
  963. 35:01But every time I did,
  964. 35:03hey player, what's up player?
  965. 35:04Hold your head up, player.
  966. 35:05So player stuck in my head,
  967. 35:07I'm like, oh player.
  968. 35:08And you think about players,
  969. 35:09smooth and I was smooth with the words.
  970. 35:12So I put DJ and player
  971. 35:15and then everybody's getting me mixed up
  972. 35:17with an actual DJ,
  973. 35:19like wicked wicked,
  974. 35:20but I'm like,
  975. 35:21how can I rebrand myself?
  976. 35:23So I dropped the DJ
  977. 35:24and put I in front of player,
  978. 35:27so I am player,
  979. 35:28I'm player.
  980. 35:29Shout out to Apple,
  981. 35:30which I have equity in.
  982. 35:34And from I'm player,
  983. 35:36I added alien,
  984. 35:38which, you know,
  985. 35:40my daughter's mother at the time,
  986. 35:42we performed together.
  987. 35:43She was a unicorn.
  988. 35:44So I'm like,
  989. 35:45what matches the unicorn?
  990. 35:46And that's how alien became born.
  991. 35:49You got to be out of this world.
  992. 35:50Okay.
  993. 35:51I was trying to still make the connection.
  994. 35:52Okay.
  995. 35:53I got you.
  996. 35:53I follow along.
  997. 35:54Y'all follow me.
  998. 35:55That's how you got alien I'm player.
  999. 35:57So that was my artist name.
  1000. 35:58And I just,
1001. 35:58everybody knew me as alien.
  1002. 36:00Hey, alien, alien, alien.
  1003. 36:01So I took that alien.
1004. 36:03So now coming from behind the mic,
  1005. 36:06dropping the mic
1006. 36:07and now got the lens.
1007. 36:09So eyes as you can see,
1008. 36:11now alien can see with the eyes.
  1009. 36:13So alien eyes
1010. 36:14and what I'm doing is taking photos.
  1011. 36:17So and I'm like,
1012. 36:18it's going to be bigger than photos.
  1013. 36:19So I added media
  1014. 36:21and a lot of people don't see
  1015. 36:22the media in production.
  1016. 36:25So I just say media.
  1017. 36:27But it's actually media and production.
1018. 36:29So yeah, the whole shebang.
  1019. 36:31Cause I'm thinking,
1020. 36:31I was thinking bigger at the time.
1021. 36:33Like it ain't just going to be photo.
  1022. 36:35It ain't going to be,
  1023. 36:35it's going to be a production.
  1024. 36:38Okay.
1025. 36:38I know it's going to be like alien.
  1026. 36:41Yeah.
  1027. 36:42What's up with Sensei?
  1028. 36:43Okay.
  1029. 36:44Sensei.
1030. 36:45I can tell where Sensei came from.
  1031. 36:47Yeah.
  1032. 36:47What Sensei came from?
1033. 36:48Yeah, you might as well tell us.
  1034. 36:50You know,
  1035. 36:50cause the people probably don't understand
  1036. 36:51where that come from.
1037. 36:52We just started saying that out of nowhere
  1038. 36:54and it's just sticking and going.
1039. 36:55And now you're going to call him Sensei.
  1040. 36:58Right.
  1041. 36:58So now I'm like, okay,
1042. 36:59so which one are you doing?
  1043. 37:00Alien, Alien, Sensei,
  1044. 37:02which one we going?
  1045. 37:02Right, right, right.
1046. 37:03You guys just made a many hats, you know.
1047. 37:05But no, if anybody know,
1048. 37:07this is one thing about me.
  1049. 37:09If you got nicknames,
  1050. 37:10I don't rock you.
  1051. 37:11Okay.
  1052. 37:11That's right.
  1053. 37:11You ain't part of the gang.
  1054. 37:13Okay.
1055. 37:13Everybody around me got nicknames.
  1056. 37:15They don't even know it.
  1057. 37:15Right.
  1058. 37:16Cause I know somebody that don't know it.
1059. 37:18But Sensei only made sense
  1060. 37:19because I promise you
1061. 37:21that in the mean time I'll text Steve
  1062. 37:23on a random like,
  1063. 37:24man,
1064. 37:24anybody's on this real quick or hey,
1065. 37:27this is another or photography
  1066. 37:28or this or anything.
  1067. 37:30Okay.
  1068. 37:30I'm like, man,
  1069. 37:31every time I hit him up
  1070. 37:32and I remember I was watching
1071. 37:33I was watching a comic movie or whatnot.
  1072. 37:35And it was meditating.
  1073. 37:37I was like,
  1074. 37:38I'm the Sensei,
  1075. 37:41Sensei,
  1076. 37:41there we go.
  1077. 37:42Make sense.
  1078. 37:43Yeah, we're going to make sense.
  1079. 37:44It felt right.
  1080. 37:45You know what I'm saying?
  1081. 37:46Yeah.
  1082. 37:46It still do.
1083. 37:47A good donation should feel right.
  1084. 37:48It does.
  1085. 37:49It fits.
  1086. 37:50It does.
  1087. 37:50I like that.
  1088. 37:55No, yeah.
  1089. 37:56No, like I said,
  1090. 37:57I appreciate you, man.
  1091. 37:58Like I said,
  1092. 37:59if it's even personal,
  1093. 38:00if it's pocket is,
1094. 38:02brother, you have been there
  1095. 38:02and I appreciate that.
  1096. 38:03You know what I'm saying?
1097. 38:04You always thank their God.
  1098. 38:06It's just a younger me,
  1099. 38:07you know what I'm saying?
1100. 38:07Let me just pull it out of there.
  1101. 38:09You know what I mean?
  1102. 38:09He got me.
1103. 38:10Let me just pull it out of there.
  1104. 38:11That's a good lesson for them.
  1105. 38:13It doesn't matter the age.
  1106. 38:15Oh, trust me.
1107. 38:16I am not too proud to learn
  1108. 38:18from a child or a kid
  1109. 38:19or a teenager
1110. 38:20or someone younger than me.
1111. 38:22These kids out here streaming,
  1112. 38:24I'm talking about,
  1113. 38:24we at the zoo,
  1114. 38:25me and my daughter,
  1115. 38:26we at the zoo.
1116. 38:27They out there four deep streaming.
  1117. 38:28I'm like, oh,
1118. 38:29I'm like at the zoo though.
  1119. 38:32Anywhere in the world.
  1120. 38:33But like, hey,
  1121. 38:33they making content
  1122. 38:34and making money.
  1123. 38:35More money than I know.
1124. 38:38And they just living their life.
  1125. 38:40We using a letter.
  1126. 38:42Brittany,
  1127. 38:42she's a streamer.
  1128. 38:45She's a streamer.
  1129. 38:46Oh, no, brother.
  1130. 38:47I believe.
  1131. 38:48Hey, it's your girl, Brett.
  1132. 38:50Look at this.
  1133. 38:51Look at this.
  1134. 38:51Look at this.
  1135. 38:52I was like, okay.
  1136. 38:54I'm trying, y'all.
  1137. 38:55I'm trying.
1138. 38:55I feel like I'm trying to figure it out.
  1139. 38:59You get them going.
  1140. 39:00I'm like, yeah.
1141. 39:01Even the behind the scenes,
  1142. 39:02I'll be like,
  1143. 39:04Brittany, be like,
  1144. 39:05I'll be like,
  1145. 39:05oh, okay.
  1146. 39:06I like it.
  1147. 39:07Yeah.
  1148. 39:08Documented.
  1149. 39:09I love it.
1150. 39:09A lot of people don't do that.
1151. 39:11And like, you really do that.
  1152. 39:13Like behind the scenes,
  1153. 39:15you're almost beating me.
  1154. 39:16That's what I'm saying.
  1155. 39:17Like, I could teach somebody,
  1156. 39:18but like, man,
1157. 39:20y'all got your own skills.
1158. 39:22When they take what you learn,
  1159. 39:23and they go on a date,
  1160. 39:24they take it first.
  1161. 39:25Or even, you know,
  1162. 39:26finding your own lane.
  1163. 39:28Like, you know,
  1164. 39:29Brittany, you know,
  1165. 39:30streaming, vlogging,
  1166. 39:31doing behind the scenes.
  1167. 39:32She didn't need me for that,
  1168. 39:33but that's something she likes doing.
  1169. 39:36For sure.
  1170. 39:37And I, and thank you.
  1171. 39:39I appreciate that.
  1172. 39:40For sure.
  1173. 39:40And I think that that's very important
  1174. 39:42because, you know,
  1175. 39:44when Brie was doing
1176. 39:45a lot of my episodes for Beauty Told,
  1177. 39:47you know, she's capturing those moments.
  1178. 39:49And I, I got to thinking to myself
1179. 39:51as myself and was sitting next to me.
1180. 39:53I'm like, when do you guys get
  1181. 39:55the camera thrown on y'all?
1182. 39:56So that way people can be able to catch
1183. 39:58y'all doing what y'all love to do.
1184. 40:00The passion, the purpose behind it.
  1185. 40:03How will anybody know
  1186. 40:04if there's nothing documented about y'all?
1187. 40:06So that's what really started making me
  1188. 40:08realize to, you know,
  1189. 40:10get out that selflessness.
  1190. 40:11So for y'all, you know,
  1191. 40:12that's, you know,
1192. 40:13maybe in that same situation,
  1193. 40:15if y'all some podcasters
  1194. 40:16want to be a podcaster,
1195. 40:17remember that it ain't always about the
  1196. 40:19film being on y'all,
  1197. 40:20the lens being on y'all.
1198. 40:22Pick up and make sure that y'all are,
  1199. 40:24you know, reciprocating that
1200. 40:25towards those who are helping you
  1201. 40:27because that really,
  1202. 40:28that benefits y'all.
1203. 40:29That helps to be able to,
1204. 40:31for more eyes to be able to see
  1205. 40:32y'all in the act.
1206. 40:33And that way people become curious.
  1207. 40:35They want to know,
  1208. 40:37how can I get that person?
  1209. 40:38You know?
  1210. 40:39Who gets the photographer?
1211. 40:41That's like the biggest thing.
  1212. 40:43It's like a memoir.
  1213. 40:44Yeah.
  1214. 40:45Oh,
  1215. 40:47who gets the photographer?
  1216. 40:48For sure.
  1217. 40:50Three, two, one.
  1218. 40:52And speaking of just,
  1219. 40:53just this overall,
  1220. 40:55because you,
  1221. 40:55now you're teaching.
  1222. 40:57Yeah.
1223. 40:58Shots of you in Sese yet.
  1224. 40:59You know what I'm saying?
  1225. 41:00Because y'all were teaching
1226. 41:02on just how to conduct a podcast.
  1227. 41:05And we're talking about
  1228. 41:06my first podcast in a minute.
1229. 41:07But you guys are not only just,
  1230. 41:10not only,
1231. 41:10not saying you got the master,
1232. 41:11but you guys are helping others,
1233. 41:13but you guys are also teaching.
  1234. 41:14Let's talk about that.
1235. 41:15What made you want to teach?
  1236. 41:17Yeah, let's see.
  1237. 41:18You won't come in front again.
  1238. 41:21So it's just amazing.
  1239. 41:23Even right before this,
  1240. 41:24we had a consultation with someone
1241. 41:27that we filmed their first video podcast.
1242. 41:31They're doing audio like myself.
1243. 41:34So they got that going already,
1244. 41:36but they wanted to introduce video
1245. 41:37because we shot their first video podcast
  1246. 41:40in Atlanta.
1247. 41:41So they wanted to take a step further
1248. 41:44with what they can do on their own.
1249. 41:45So we had a consultation with them
  1250. 41:47and even providing value,
  1251. 41:50giving them extra time.
  1252. 41:51We really, really care
1253. 41:53because we really want to see people win.
1254. 41:55And if you come to us,
1255. 41:57we're going to make it look good.
1256. 41:59No, we really want to see this
  1257. 42:01in what you're doing and executing
1258. 42:02and how you could change.
  1259. 42:04It ain't always about money.
  1260. 42:06It's about the relationship.
  1261. 42:08So just knowing that,
1262. 42:10the money going to come.
  1263. 42:11Hello.
  1264. 42:13I'm always a teacher.
  1265. 42:15Like you said,
  1266. 42:16you hit me up,
  1267. 42:17just send me a text.
  1268. 42:18Like, I mean,
1269. 42:19I might not get back right away
  1270. 42:20because I'm doing XYZ.
  1271. 42:22I'm a parent running a business.
  1272. 42:24I'm in a relationship.
1273. 42:25So you got to spend that time
  1274. 42:27where it's allocated.
1275. 42:29But I will get back to you for sure.
1276. 42:32But we did our first workshop.
  1277. 42:34We always say,
1278. 42:35yeah, we can do much bigger
  1279. 42:37and do greater.
  1280. 42:38Even you learn.
1281. 42:39You know, you write with us.
1282. 42:41And the story about how since
1283. 42:43they had me feel embarrassed
  1284. 42:45at the workshop,
1285. 42:46I want to hear this.
1286. 42:47I want to hear this.
  1287. 42:47Not embarrassed.
  1288. 42:48No, no, no.
  1289. 42:49So I never get to listen.
  1290. 42:50Yeah.
1291. 42:51I never get to lie.
  1292. 42:52She was like,
1293. 42:52if you're not going to do a one angle,
  1294. 42:55it's basic.
  1295. 42:57I was like,
1296. 42:58I felt, you know how I used to pass you.
  1297. 43:00I was like,
1298. 43:00oh, I want to cover my face when I do this.
1299. 43:02I was like, oh, no.
  1300. 43:08I didn't say it was basic.
  1301. 43:10I said it didn't align properly
  1302. 43:12with modern trends.
  1303. 43:13Yes, she did.
  1304. 43:14She did.
  1305. 43:14Yes, ma'am.
  1306. 43:15Yes, ma'am.
  1307. 43:16Okay.
  1308. 43:17Here, I was like,
  1309. 43:18you know what?
  1310. 43:20And it was like,
1311. 43:21you know, Mark Jordan did
  1312. 43:22on the last dance.
  1313. 43:23I heard that's personal.
1314. 43:25I was going to say.
  1315. 43:25Next week,
  1316. 43:26I brought ACAMS.
  1317. 43:27He did, y'all.
  1318. 43:28Yeah, he did.
  1319. 43:29I came in like,
  1320. 43:30what's all of this?
1321. 43:32We're going to use it, though.
1322. 43:33Let's have fun, you know.
  1323. 43:34No, no, no, no.
1324. 43:35But no, I said it because like,
1325. 43:37once again, it made me think,
  1326. 43:38okay, I would sub the podcast
1327. 43:39so no, I just can't get it for you guys.
  1328. 43:43That's what I love about singing.
1329. 43:44We're always educating each other.
  1330. 43:45You know what I love about y'all, man?
1331. 43:47Y'all are just like me.
1332. 43:48Y'all are students to the game.
  1333. 43:50No matter what y'all do,
  1334. 43:50y'all are students.
1335. 43:51Like, you didn't have to implement that
1336. 43:53and taking it to her.
1337. 43:53I'm glad you did, though.
  1338. 43:55Yeah.
  1339. 43:56Level up.
  1340. 43:57That means improvement.
1341. 43:58You want to get better.
1342. 44:00That's what I love seeing about people.
  1343. 44:02If I don't see you want to improve,
1344. 44:04even being in prior relationships,
  1345. 44:07like, if I don't see the progress
  1346. 44:08so we're just stagnant.
  1347. 44:09We ain't getting nowhere.
  1348. 44:10You know, evolution.
1349. 44:12You're not thinking big for yourself.
1350. 44:13You just want to be in a basic job.
  1351. 44:16Right.
  1352. 44:17I know that's right.
1353. 44:18I mean, it's just not going nowhere.
1354. 44:21You know, you're just going to be in the same.
1355. 44:23So, you know, even, you know,
1356. 44:24we all could be doing better.
1357. 44:25Or even my podcast, like,
1358. 44:27it could be so much better.
1359. 44:28So it's always that next step we can take
1360. 44:31and that we want to take.
  1361. 44:33Yeah.
1362. 44:34And that's the biggest thing that we want to.
  1363. 44:35That's good.
  1364. 44:36That's good.
1365. 44:37So that brings me that that brings me to the fact
  1366. 44:40that, like you said,
  1367. 44:40we don't just take this information
1368. 44:41and just, you know, bottle it up.
1369. 44:44We actually are moving on it.
1370. 44:46You know, I have a word every year in this year
  1371. 44:48and Brie knows it's execute.
1372. 44:50So, okay, it's nice to know you have that information,
1373. 44:52but when do you execute on it?
1374. 44:53When you start making those those steps.
1375. 44:55So, like you said, it can be just small steps
1376. 44:57that eventually lead to before you know it,
1377. 44:58like, oh, my God, I went from there to here.
1378. 45:01Like, so you have to move.
1379. 45:03And I think that for you brought up a good point
1380. 45:06and for entrepreneurs that are watching this,
1381. 45:08that it's just important to have those
1382. 45:10that are going to help you to level up.
1383. 45:12That's going to be able to show you some things
1384. 45:15and have your back and give you tips
  1385. 45:17and give you tricks
1386. 45:18and that you actually take that in
1387. 45:20and run with it, you know,
1388. 45:21and actually do something with it
  1389. 45:22because that's going to better you
  1390. 45:23and that's going to better everybody.
1391. 45:25I mean, my mother used to say,
  1392. 45:26Brie, let's set the block together.
1393. 45:27So if we all is trying to move towards greatness,
1394. 45:29I feel like that's much better than us just doing
  1395. 45:33what you're doing today.
1396. 45:34And it's the same old same old.
1397. 45:36We came to Atlanta deep.
  1398. 45:38That's what I'm like, man.
  1399. 45:38We got a whole team.
1400. 45:39People come in individually or with their couple
1401. 45:42as a couple, but like we came with a team.
1402. 45:46And I'm like, yeah, we could really, you know,
1403. 45:48make waves, not just in Cleveland,
  1404. 45:50but outside of Cleveland.
  1405. 45:51That's when I first saw it.
1406. 45:52I'm like, we really got something,
  1407. 45:55something special too.
1408. 45:56And like, we could really travel with this.
  1409. 45:58Even teaching workshops like podcast 101,
1410. 46:01podcast 102 and like everything we do.
1411. 46:04See, poor than they know it.
1412. 46:08You know, we took a risk on ourselves
1413. 46:11by going down there and traveling,
1414. 46:13like our first conference together.
1415. 46:15I go to conferences all the time by myself,
1416. 46:19but you know, we stepped out on faith
  1417. 46:22and just been different,
  1418. 46:24doing something different.
1419. 46:26And I can say it definitely transformed all of us,
1420. 46:31even the team in certain ways.
1421. 46:35Don't know, we gotta speak on that.
1422. 46:39But I'm just saying it did because, you know.
1423. 46:44It transformed as a whole because now,
1424. 46:46because then I feel like the podcast transformed.
1425. 46:51It got, it went in a different direction.
  1426. 46:52Sure.
1427. 46:53Yep. And then from that, you know,
1428. 46:55we, I feel like then we had more direction.
1429. 46:58We more had more intention going forward.
1430. 47:00At the latter it was like, okay,
1431. 47:02we about to go in this direction.
1432. 47:04And we even stopped yet.
  1433. 47:05That's true.
1434. 47:06I just think we kind of do the same,
1435. 47:09but like we have these high names
1436. 47:12and you know, people that have this high status
1437. 47:15and being at, you know, podcasts,
1438. 47:18some of our different conferences,
  1439. 47:19such as that they're approachable
1440. 47:21and accessible and willing to talk
1441. 47:23and you know, spend that time with,
  1442. 47:26you know, I don't say anybody,
  1443. 47:27but pretty much anybody.
  1444. 47:30Like they know, oh,
1445. 47:32like it's coming, get that camera on my face
1446. 47:33and like, oh, they sit down with you,
1447. 47:35and have a quick interview with you
  1448. 47:37and talk with you.
1449. 47:39So just like you said,
  1450. 47:42birds of a feather flock together.
1451. 47:43You've seen that you want to model that.
  1452. 47:45Sure.
1453. 47:46And others get encouraged and influenced too.
  1454. 47:49You know, we've both,
  1455. 47:51you know, we've all individually
1456. 47:52and collectively have grown our brands
1457. 47:56to the point where people know us,
1458. 47:58you know, not just as a pull of experience,
1459. 48:00but they know us as alien photos.
1460. 48:02They know us as overflow studios
  1461. 48:03or beauty toe.
1462. 48:05And I think that that just helps to
1463. 48:08set the tone for when we continue
1464. 48:10to just catapult this thing
1465. 48:11and just take it to a whole other dimension.
  1466. 48:14Absolutely.
  1467. 48:15Okay.
1468. 48:16Listen, I said the other day in an interview,
1469. 48:19I said this because someone asked the other day,
  1470. 48:20like, you know what I'm saying?
1471. 48:22Like someone asked what is a pull of experience?
  1472. 48:23Well, I say it's a glomerate of entrepreneurs
1473. 48:26who are doing something phenomenal
1474. 48:28for the city of Cleveland and beyond.
  1475. 48:30Yeah.
1476. 48:30I like to simply say
1477. 48:31it's an entrepreneur elevation group.
  1478. 48:34Because, you know, we don't,
  1479. 48:35we only elevate ourselves.
1480. 48:37We elevate everybody around us
  1481. 48:40in the community that we're building.
1482. 48:42An amazing community that you started to help build.
1483. 48:46Like, and then now you're adding all the pieces.
  1484. 48:48We just continue building.
1485. 48:49And our, like you said,
1486. 48:50our separate brands is like one merge.
  1487. 48:54Like, that's what I'm saying.
  1488. 48:54We ain't even maximizing everything yet.
1489. 48:57But like, once we really, really do.
  1490. 49:01Look at how we're going.
1491. 49:01We're going to do this every day.
1492. 49:03But what do you say?
  1493. 49:05He owned 923 episodes.
  1494. 49:09That was remarkable.
1495. 49:11That was, that was couple weeks ago.
  1496. 49:11He might be on 950 now.
  1497. 49:13Yeah, who knows?
1498. 49:15That is phenomenal for sure.
1499. 49:17So what has been, for you,
1500. 49:20what's been the most rewarding in your,
  1501. 49:24in the entrepreneur space?
1502. 49:25What's been the most rewarding for you?
1503. 49:28Just, just hearing the feedback.
1504. 49:33And just the, just the accomplishment from someone else.
1505. 49:39But they also give me the recognition
1506. 49:41that I documented and captured it in a way
1507. 49:43that tells their story effectively.
1508. 49:47Not just capturing this to capture,
1509. 49:48but really telling their story,
  1510. 49:51getting the B-roll.
1511. 49:54You know, showing that emotion.
1512. 49:59And man, just, just the testimonies.
  1513. 50:01And like I said,
1514. 50:02we just got off a consultation call
1515. 50:06about podcasting right after this.
1516. 50:08And like just everything she is saying about both of us
1517. 50:11and just the experience we gave her
  1518. 50:13and that it wasn't just transactional.
  1519. 50:16It was transformational
1520. 50:17and that we kept that relationship going.
  1521. 50:19Like it wasn't just,
1522. 50:20oh, you recorded my podcast, that's it.
1523. 50:22Like, no, we were right there,
1524. 50:23like holding your hand almost.
1525. 50:25Like we, we're not just, you know,
1526. 50:29a transaction, like our client or where,
  1527. 50:31like we're family at the end.
1528. 50:33Once you rock with us, we family.
1529. 50:35Like we ain't gonna let everybody in our house.
  1530. 50:37That's, that's, you know, lame,
1531. 50:39but like whatever you need,
1532. 50:41like don't be afraid to reach out.
1533. 50:44I mean, going back to even,
1534. 50:46you know, someone that's starting the business
1535. 50:48and when they need those first customers,
1536. 50:51those leads, don't be afraid to reach out.
1537. 50:54I mean, that's just about even with a mentor or a coach
1538. 50:57and you're gonna need a mentor in or a coach, for sure.
  1539. 51:01And I could be a mentor or a coach,
1540. 51:04one of these lovely people here,
1541. 51:06even Breed and my daughter or something like,
1542. 51:09no matter who it is or who you want to work with,
  1543. 51:13reach out, you know,
1544. 51:14or they might even have recommendations for you.
  1545. 51:18Yeah.
1546. 51:20So real quick, because you, you,
1547. 51:21you're not nearly as true as you awesome podcast.
  1548. 51:24Oh, yeah.
1549. 51:26You talk about what made kids,
1550. 51:27because you, like I said, you were behind the camera.
  1551. 51:29What made you wonder?
  1552. 51:30Well, you've been on podcast.
  1553. 51:32Sometimes.
1554. 51:34What made you want to start your own podcast?
  1555. 51:36Yeah.
1556. 51:37So, interestingly, when I was doing music,
  1557. 51:40I did start a podcast.
1558. 51:43It was called Lyrical Logic Podcast,
  1559. 51:45where I break down different lyrics
1560. 51:46of different songs and poems.
1561. 51:48And then each artist that I brought on,
  1562. 51:50I had them perform
1563. 51:51and then we break down their song or poem.
1564. 51:55So like, I'm always thinking about what's the meaning,
1565. 51:57because I'm, like, you can hear a good beat
1566. 51:59or, you know, a good song, whatever,
1567. 52:01but what are you really saying?
1568. 52:03So I was getting more into the weeds of the lyrics
1569. 52:06and the meanings, you know, origin.
  1570. 52:09You know, like, it's always a deeper story.
1571. 52:11Like, I could take it one way,
1572. 52:12but the artists know exactly what they're doing.
  1573. 52:15Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  1574. 52:15I'm like, okay.
1575. 52:18But even fast forwarding back to production,
  1576. 52:20I'm like, I have a business.
  1577. 52:25I'm an introvert.
1578. 52:26I don't really like doing this and doing that,
1579. 52:28but what can I do to market my business?
1580. 52:31I'm like, every business should have a podcast,
  1581. 52:34so why shouldn't my business?
  1582. 52:37You know?
1583. 52:38So I started Alienize Photos Industry Talk.
1584. 52:42I'm currently on, I'll just be recording.
1585. 52:43I'm probably like on 70 or something like that.
  1586. 52:47But publicly, like 50, 59,
  1587. 52:51but I got like 70.
1588. 52:52Wow, so you got something in the vault.
  1589. 52:54Ready that long.
  1590. 52:55I got something from a lot.
  1591. 52:56Yeah.
  1592. 52:57And that's about ironic.
1593. 52:57He's a photographer who does audio podcasts.
1594. 53:01I know that is ironic.
  1595. 53:03I know.
  1596. 53:04But I thought about this,
1597. 53:06like, because I've taken it back to music.
1598. 53:08I used to record voice notes in my car
  1599. 53:10while I'm driving.
1600. 53:11Like, my song's like, hey, I gotta go harder.
  1601. 53:15I'm so smarter.
1602. 53:16So I'm like, I just took that same principle.
  1603. 53:18I'm like, I record a 20-minute podcast while I drive,
  1604. 53:23and I try to keep it within 20 to 30 minutes,
1605. 53:25like the old school shows.
1606. 53:28Let that be a testament to anybody with a pocket.
1607. 53:31He's commuting, it's a good reason to shoot in his pocket.
  1608. 53:34What's your excuse?
  1609. 53:36Do it.
  1610. 53:38Do it now.
  1611. 53:39Yeah, because like, I don't gotta worry about,
  1612. 53:41like, even before this,
1613. 53:42how long did it honestly take for us to set up
1614. 53:45and, you know, minus, minus the sun.
1615. 53:49Before that, the lights, the cameras, the mics,
1616. 53:51I can just put the mics in my phone, record, you know,
  1617. 53:55wherever I want.
1618. 53:56Like, I got this thought in my head.
1619. 53:57I want to get it right there.
1620. 53:58I don't want her to worry about how I look.
1621. 54:01Most of the times, like, I don't need to retwit.
1622. 54:03I don't need to retwit right now.
1623. 54:05But I'm not worried about how I'm showing up on camera.
1624. 54:07I don't gotta worry about the lights,
  1625. 54:09or I gotta charge this.
  1626. 54:10Less equipment.
1627. 54:11I can do it wherever I want,
1628. 54:13just press record and get my thoughts out.
  1629. 54:15Because you think about a podcast,
  1630. 54:18it's audio only.
1631. 54:21That's how it started, like radio.
  1632. 54:23That's true.
1633. 54:24And then we started introducing, you know,
  1634. 54:26cameras with video.
1635. 54:28Even radio stations, they have video now.
1636. 54:31So podcasts have helped, you know, evolve the radio.
1637. 54:36But yeah, adding camera and everything,
1638. 54:39like, even with Lyrical Logic podcast,
  1639. 54:41it was audio only.
1640. 54:44So you could do it everywhere.
1641. 54:45I was recording in the car, recording,
1642. 54:47you know, on the couch,
  1643. 54:49boom, boom, boom.
  1644. 54:50It's like, I don't gotta worry about it.
  1645. 54:51Because I like also moving.
1646. 54:53Because I'll walk away from the camera
1647. 54:54and forget the camera rolling.
  1648. 54:56I like moving.
  1649. 54:57Like, I'm a pacer.
1650. 54:58That's how I get my thoughts down.
1651. 55:00That's how I used to write a lot of songs.
1652. 55:02I cannot stay still most of the time.
1653. 55:04It's like that energy is always emotion.
  1654. 55:07So I'm like, why can't my thoughts,
  1655. 55:10my thoughts are emotional,
1656. 55:11energy, emotion, everything just flowing.
  1657. 55:15That's good, that's good.
  1658. 55:16Listen, I'm a podcast, by the way.
  1659. 55:17I'm a podcast connoisseur.
  1660. 55:19Thank you.
1661. 55:20I like how you take,
  1662. 55:22and I'm just, it's not,
1663. 55:23and you think this would be all photography industry,
  1664. 55:24you take different industries.
  1665. 55:27People with different issues.
1666. 55:27So shout out to you, brother.
  1667. 55:28Yeah, interview.
  1668. 55:29You go a little deeper.
  1669. 55:31I try, you know,
1670. 55:32interview different people from different industries.
1671. 55:34And we all can assist.
1672. 55:36Like, what can we learn from the relationship industry
1673. 55:38and apply it to our business?
1674. 55:40What can we learn with podcasts
1675. 55:42and building the community into our business?
1676. 55:44What can you learn from photography industry
1677. 55:47and media industry for our own business?
  1678. 55:50We all need media.
1679. 55:52And then we all need tags, housing.
1680. 55:55We all need these things.
1681. 55:57And what are they doing in their industry
1682. 55:59that we can apply to our own?
  1683. 56:02So that's what I do when I interview different people.
1684. 56:06But with my solo podcast,
1685. 56:07I look like I take it as master classes
  1686. 56:11and different things that
1687. 56:13I could take and have for myself.
1688. 56:15If they want to book me for a speech on podcasts,
1689. 56:20I already have episodes about that.
1690. 56:22So I just kind of listen to my own stuff
1691. 56:24and already have the blueprint
  1692. 56:27or confidence, motivation.
1693. 56:29I already had these topics, mindset.
1694. 56:31I already had these topics on my podcast,
  1695. 56:33just listening to podcasts.
  1696. 56:34And then for me,
1697. 56:36I could also listen to it like,
  1698. 56:38oh, yeah, mindset.
  1699. 56:39Okay, touch on this.
  1700. 56:40Okay, touch on this.
1701. 56:42And seeing what resonates with the audience.
  1702. 56:45So that's why I love the podcast.
1703. 56:48And it just helps me in many different ways,
1704. 56:51not just marketing my business,
1705. 56:52but like I said, using it as a master class
1706. 56:55or people want to book me for speeches
  1707. 56:58like with Futureland,
  1708. 56:59they had, you know,
  1709. 57:01I speak on stage,
  1710. 57:02every business should have a podcast.
  1711. 57:04That's what it's an episode
  1712. 57:06on Alien Hospital's industry talk.
  1713. 57:09A-E-P-E-I-T.
  1714. 57:12I'm going to say E, A-E-P-I-T.
  1715. 57:15Okay, all right.
  1716. 57:16Love it, love it.
  1717. 57:18So I think that, you know,
1718. 57:19it's very important to your point
  1719. 57:21to have a podcast
1720. 57:23just to be able to get your voice
1721. 57:25to have it be heard.
  1722. 57:26You know, David Shands,
1723. 57:27when he came to Cleveland,
  1724. 57:28explained the importance
1725. 57:29of being able to document something
1726. 57:33because you want to leave that.
1727. 57:35That can now be part of your legacy.
1728. 57:38Um, you know, when we leave this earth,
  1729. 57:40you know, so it's very important.
1730. 57:41Now, not only have you decided
1731. 57:43to do podcasting for yourself,
1732. 57:46but you also have decided
1733. 57:47to go back behind the lens,
1734. 57:51make it a business with your partner.
1735. 57:53And my first pod, like, um,
1736. 57:57phenomenal how you guys took an idea,
  1737. 58:01strategize it thoroughly
  1738. 58:03thanks to Overflow Studios.
  1739. 58:05Okay.
1740. 58:05Shout out to Overflow Studios.
  1741. 58:07Shout out to her.
  1742. 58:09And not only that,
1743. 58:10but you guys moved on it.
1744. 58:12You know, it wasn't just an idea
1745. 58:13that sat and sat for years and years.
1746. 58:15You move and you move quickly.
1747. 58:17So tell us how that experience
1748. 58:19has been to be able to
1749. 58:22now be another business venture
  1750. 58:23for yourself.
  1751. 58:25So I want to say
  1752. 58:27it's a business venture,
1753. 58:28but it's one of our main offers
  1754. 58:30for sure.
1755. 58:31And shout out to Brianna
  1756. 58:32for that for sure.
1757. 58:34She initially brought me the idea
1758. 58:36like, oh, we should do this.
1759. 58:38And she thought her name my first pod.
  1760. 58:40I'm like, it's kind of cheesy,
1761. 58:42but now like sitting with it,
  1762. 58:44like, I'm like, that is brilliant.
  1763. 58:46That is amazing.
  1764. 58:47Like, it's literally my first pod.
  1765. 58:49Like, I'm like,
1766. 58:50we got to do more with this too.
1767. 58:52And then I just helped build it out more.
1768. 58:54But when she initially came to him,
  1769. 58:57like, no, I wasn't feeling it,
1770. 58:59but just trust in the process
1771. 59:01and trust in your partner.
  1772. 59:04That part.
  1773. 59:05So many things I bring her,
  1774. 59:06she'd be like, no.
  1775. 59:10But, you know,
  1776. 59:12just just trusting a partner,
1777. 59:14even outside of that with business,
1778. 59:16you have to build that trust.
  1779. 59:18You do.
1780. 59:19They got to know you, like you,
1781. 59:21but most of all, trust you.
1782. 59:22I got episodes on that too.
  1783. 59:26So yeah, we're always building it,
  1784. 59:29but that's something
1785. 59:30we actually talked about recently
1786. 59:32where we're actually going to show fit
  1787. 59:35for later because,
  1788. 59:38you know, just reviewing
1789. 59:39and reflecting and like, okay,
1790. 59:41are we really getting out of it
1791. 59:44what we really want to get out of it?
  1792. 59:47Yes, with the production.
  1793. 59:49Yes, with the relationship
  1794. 59:50and helping people financially,
  1795. 59:53we are taking a loss.
1796. 59:55Like, if you book us regularly
1797. 59:57with all our services together,
  1798. 59:59like, it's much more
  1799. 1:00:00than what we're offering
  1800. 1:00:01with my first pod.
1801. 1:00:03We want to help people launch
  1802. 1:00:06their first podcast
1803. 1:00:07and give them that confidence
1804. 1:00:08and let them know that it's possible
1805. 1:00:11and do it with quality.
1806. 1:00:12Shout out to Overflow Studios
  1807. 1:00:14because I could help film,
1808. 1:00:16take pictures behind the scenes,
  1809. 1:00:18but the editor.
  1810. 1:00:20God bless her.
  1811. 1:00:21God bless her.
1812. 1:00:24Shout out to the editor.
  1813. 1:00:27Bless y'all.
  1814. 1:00:29Bless y'all.
  1815. 1:00:30Because I know.
  1816. 1:00:31Behind the scenes
1817. 1:00:32on the camera right now.
  1818. 1:00:38So sensitive.
1819. 1:00:40We talk about the future
1820. 1:00:41but the kids, my first pod,
  1821. 1:00:44I think it's phenomenal idea.
  1822. 1:00:45That's crazy.
  1823. 1:00:47Speaking about music,
1824. 1:00:48going back to my music,
  1825. 1:00:49I had a mixtape called
  1826. 1:00:53Pass the Future.
1827. 1:00:56That was way before Alien
  1828. 1:00:58so I'm like,
1829. 1:00:58this is all coming alive.
  1830. 1:01:00It does.
  1831. 1:01:01Funny how that works.
  1832. 1:01:03I love that.
  1833. 1:01:05Because it all kind of co-exist.
  1834. 1:01:08But I'm about to interrupt you.
1835. 1:01:10I just want to throw that in.
  1836. 1:01:12What do we expect
1837. 1:01:12for the future from you, brother?
  1838. 1:01:14Because listen,
  1839. 1:01:15the sky's living with you.
  1840. 1:01:16Sure.
  1841. 1:01:17We know,
  1842. 1:01:17literally, if you say
1843. 1:01:18since this is my own,
  1844. 1:01:19be I or should not.
  1845. 1:01:22Darn it.
1846. 1:01:22He going to be there.
1847. 1:01:23Well, it's crazy that you said that.
  1848. 1:01:26I actually did once I was,
  1849. 1:01:28when I was little
  1850. 1:01:29because
  1851. 1:01:31you know,
1852. 1:01:31we all had those questions.
1853. 1:01:33What you want to be
  1854. 1:01:33when you grow up?
1855. 1:01:34What you want to be
  1856. 1:01:35when you grow up?
  1857. 1:01:36Even till now,
1858. 1:01:37you can still grow up.
1859. 1:01:38What did you want to be
  1860. 1:01:39when you were a kid?
  1861. 1:01:40I wanted to be a singer.
1862. 1:01:42What you wanted to be?
  1863. 1:01:43Kenair Wayans.
  1864. 1:01:46But y'all are unique.
  1865. 1:01:48But you hear,
  1866. 1:01:49oh, I'm a police officer,
  1867. 1:01:50a firefighter,
  1868. 1:01:51or this or that.
  1869. 1:01:52Nurse, doctor.
  1870. 1:01:53I'm like,
  1871. 1:01:54what's different about you?
1872. 1:01:55I want to be an astronaut.
  1873. 1:01:56I didn't know what astronaut was.
1874. 1:01:59So I want to be something different.
1875. 1:02:01I always love being different,
  1876. 1:02:02being original,
  1877. 1:02:03doing something,
  1878. 1:02:04somebody else.
  1879. 1:02:04Everybody using chat GPT,
  1880. 1:02:06I was using Claude.
1881. 1:02:08And everybody was getting Claude.
1882. 1:02:09I started shifting in Gemini.
  1883. 1:02:11But I don't really like,
1884. 1:02:11I'm still sticking with what I like best,
  1885. 1:02:13which is Claude,
  1886. 1:02:14A.I.
  1887. 1:02:15as far as the A.I.s.
1888. 1:02:17The three big top ones.
  1889. 1:02:20No shade to Grock,
1890. 1:02:21but I think those are the three tops.
  1891. 1:02:24Chat, Gemini, and Claude.
1892. 1:02:28It's just about me being different.
  1893. 1:02:31And like I said,
1894. 1:02:31I didn't know what an astronaut was,
  1895. 1:02:33but if I don't know what it is,
1896. 1:02:35I'm going to research it.
1897. 1:02:36I'm like, oh, it's kind of different.
  1898. 1:02:37Okay.
1899. 1:02:38Like, I know you probably never heard this,
  1900. 1:02:43but I was like,
  1901. 1:02:44if I get married,
1902. 1:02:47I want to get married on the moon.
1903. 1:02:53That's just how I like to be different.
  1904. 1:02:55Like, well,
1905. 1:02:55I've never heard of that before.
1906. 1:02:57How many people got married on the moon?
  1907. 1:03:03Well, well,
1908. 1:03:04we're just going to have to pull up.
  1909. 1:03:06No.
  1910. 1:03:08No, that's a destination.
1911. 1:03:08We're going to be floating there, boy.
  1912. 1:03:10Yeah, that's a destination wedding for sure.
1913. 1:03:12I don't know how we all going to get up there.
1914. 1:03:18It may take us some years.
1915. 1:03:20I don't know how the time shall look
  1916. 1:03:21with the, you know,
1917. 1:03:23the rocks and the outer space
1918. 1:03:24and, you know, being an astronaut.
1919. 1:03:25But however long it take,
1920. 1:03:29I don't really know too much about it.
  1921. 1:03:31But I know, like I said,
  1922. 1:03:33I never traveled.
1923. 1:03:34How many people really explored
  1924. 1:03:36and traveled the moon
1925. 1:03:36but to get married on the moon?
1926. 1:03:41Now, you know what they say,
1927. 1:03:42oh, heads over the moon,
1928. 1:03:44or however that saying go.
1929. 1:03:46Why not just take it to the moon?
1930. 1:03:48The cow jumped over the moon,
  1931. 1:03:49so did the aliens.
  1932. 1:03:51Wow, all right.
1933. 1:03:53Let's see some aliens up there.
  1934. 1:03:54They might be.
1935. 1:03:55Might be part of the attendees.
  1936. 1:03:58Right.
  1937. 1:03:59Okay.
  1938. 1:04:00You know.
1939. 1:04:00So one aspect of it,
1940. 1:04:02but what can we expect
1941. 1:04:03for you to be professionally?
  1942. 1:04:05Professionally?
1943. 1:04:07I think me doing more teaching,
  1944. 1:04:09more workshops,
1945. 1:04:10me stepping away from the camera more,
  1946. 1:04:13even, you know,
  1947. 1:04:14building out a team training
1948. 1:04:16and finding different, you know,
1949. 1:04:19people to mentor and interns
  1950. 1:04:21and building them up.
  1951. 1:04:22Sure.
  1952. 1:04:25Just really stepping away
  1953. 1:04:27because I thought about this.
1954. 1:04:31You know, like my first million.
1955. 1:04:33You know, will it come from photography?
  1956. 1:04:34Yeah, I could grind away,
1957. 1:04:36but I'll be tired and all this.
  1958. 1:04:38I'm where I really enjoy.
  1959. 1:04:40Yeah, I can make a million,
  1960. 1:04:41but I'll have to do X, Y, and Z events
  1961. 1:04:43or so many productions.
  1962. 1:04:45So it's like, okay,
1963. 1:04:47what is that next tier,
  1964. 1:04:49that next level
1965. 1:04:51besides, you know, photography, video
1966. 1:04:53that would help me make my first million,
  1967. 1:04:55which I'm still building
1968. 1:04:56and working on in my head.
  1969. 1:04:57Like I have a bunch of ideas.
1970. 1:04:59So this is just about sitting down,
  1971. 1:05:02strategizing, planning,
1972. 1:05:03having that time with self
1973. 1:05:04and seeing what really is effective,
  1974. 1:05:07what really works
  1975. 1:05:08and what, you know, I love.
1976. 1:05:10Like, because you could do something,
1977. 1:05:12but do you really love it?
  1978. 1:05:14That's good.
1979. 1:05:14You'll get burnt out either way, you know.
  1980. 1:05:17So.
  1981. 1:05:17I'm good.
  1982. 1:05:19Yes, it's a work in progress,
1983. 1:05:21but you know the futures,
  1984. 1:05:23it could change.
1985. 1:05:24Yeah, I can say one day like,
  1986. 1:05:26oh, I could be an astronaut,
  1987. 1:05:27but tomorrow I'm a scientist.
  1988. 1:05:30Next day I'm back rapping.
  1989. 1:05:32You never know.
1990. 1:05:33So, but the fact that these things
1991. 1:05:35is all possible to you,
1992. 1:05:36since that's possible for all of us.
  1993. 1:05:40Listen, I know people,
1994. 1:05:41they they they studied on one thing.
1995. 1:05:43You said, hey, I can do it.
  1996. 1:05:46Yeah, that's good.
1997. 1:05:48I respect and admire that, bro,
  1998. 1:05:51because I know what I'm good at
  1999. 1:05:53and I stick to that.
2000. 1:05:54Well, don't be afraid to try new things,
2001. 1:05:57you know, like you even being
  2002. 1:05:58behind the camera more,
2003. 1:05:59saying you like being behind the camera.
2004. 1:06:00You want to step from
2005. 1:06:02in front of the camera
2006. 1:06:03and be behind the scenes more.
  2007. 1:06:05I'm like, oh, really?
2008. 1:06:06Oh, speaking as lightning, you know.
2009. 1:06:08Yeah, you know, you know.
2010. 1:06:13So I'm actually excited for this joint
2011. 1:06:16because you have you have sat around
2012. 1:06:18for 300 plus answers to these questions.
  2013. 1:06:20Yeah, get sensei's answers.
  2014. 1:06:22I'm excited about this.
2015. 1:06:23Yeah, like I never heard this before.
2016. 1:06:26We're just going to ask.
  2017. 1:06:27Right with these questions.
2018. 1:06:28So everybody knows we have stable questions.
  2019. 1:06:31Yeah, like I said, it's hard.
2020. 1:06:32She even heard them all, right?
  2021. 1:06:34But I know you're going to have
2022. 1:06:35his his specific answer to the question.
2023. 1:06:38But Cleveland said you clean one array
  2024. 1:06:40and you've seen it.
2025. 1:06:42And another one of you flowers, man,
  2026. 1:06:45collaboration, brother.
  2027. 1:06:46You are a man.
  2028. 1:06:47You know what I'm saying?
2029. 1:06:49Hands down, like he says the message clever.
  2030. 1:06:52He he's bringing me in clever.
  2031. 1:06:54So I'm like, I'll be part of collaboration.
2032. 1:06:55But I'm like, no, since they're going to do clever.
  2033. 1:06:58Well, I get credit for it.
  2034. 1:06:59Because since they know I'm high,
  2035. 1:07:00I am a level headed person.
  2036. 1:07:03So I don't I don't I don't be level headed.
2037. 1:07:05It's just like, all right, man.
2038. 1:07:06Yeah, but I started to say collaboration.
  2039. 1:07:10It's just like.
2040. 1:07:11I'm for you to have the stigma
  2041. 1:07:12of not being a clever place.
  2042. 1:07:14So let's say you've been in my collaborator.
2043. 1:07:18How do you feel like we can change
  2044. 1:07:20the narrative of Cleveland?
2045. 1:07:22Change the stigma of not being clever place.
2046. 1:07:26I think just being collaborative, like.
2047. 1:07:31I think it started for me with music.
2048. 1:07:34Like, I wanted to collaborate with everybody.
2049. 1:07:36Pop artists, rock artists, other rappers, singers.
  2050. 1:07:39I love collaborative singers.
  2051. 1:07:42Like, I think I'm making my best hits.
  2052. 1:07:44With singers.
2053. 1:07:46So I just took that same principle just throughout life.
2054. 1:07:50Like, even being a kid in school,
2055. 1:07:52I could sit at any lunch table with any crowd.
2056. 1:07:55Like, I'm not with the jocks or the high people.
  2057. 1:08:00Like, I could be with anybody.
2058. 1:08:03You know, the isolated people to the popular people.
2059. 1:08:05Like, I'm sitting at a new lunch table each day.
  2060. 1:08:08Like, what y'all got going on?
  2061. 1:08:09Like, I can sit by myself.
  2062. 1:08:11And I don't mind sitting by myself.
2063. 1:08:12A lot of people don't sit with themselves.
2064. 1:08:15But once you sit with yourself, you learn yourself.
2065. 1:08:18And that way, you're going to open it up more.
2066. 1:08:21Like, I could be in front of the camera.
  2067. 1:08:23You know, with that pull-up spin.
2068. 1:08:25I could be behind the scenes.
2069. 1:08:27I could be off the scenes.
  2070. 1:08:28I don't got to do nothing.
2071. 1:08:28I could be doing a show notes.
2072. 1:08:30I could be doing, you know, administrative work.
2073. 1:08:32I could do so many different tasks.
  2074. 1:08:34But it's about that flexibility
  2075. 1:08:35and know what team you're a part of
  2076. 1:08:37and what collaboration you're part of.
  2077. 1:08:40You know, but also.
  2078. 1:08:42It's just being open.
2079. 1:08:45Like, even being with the pull-up spin.
2080. 1:08:46It's just being open, you know.
2081. 1:08:48And shout out to Angie Arlo.
  2082. 1:08:50Shout out to Arlo.
  2083. 1:08:51Because I could have been like,
  2084. 1:08:52what, they ain't paying me.
  2085. 1:08:56And I could say anything.
  2086. 1:08:58I'd be like, I don't know these people.
2087. 1:09:02But what was crazy was,
2088. 1:09:05I'm always open to collaboration.
2089. 1:09:07At least if it's just one day or whatever.
  2090. 1:09:09But I wanted to start a business podcast.
2091. 1:09:13All right, you know, full of entrepreneurs.
  2092. 1:09:15And that's what y'all were doing.
2093. 1:09:17So I'm like, I could have my business podcast,
2094. 1:09:21but I don't have to be the face of it.
2095. 1:09:23And so I thought it was perfect for me.
  2096. 1:09:25Because I didn't want to be your face.
2097. 1:09:26And like, this has been beautiful.
2098. 1:09:30But just collaborating with Overflow Studios a lot.
  2099. 1:09:34Even when LaunchArts, the pull-up experience,
2100. 1:09:36you know, Futureland, Crayon Meetups.
2101. 1:09:39Like, it's just about being open and saying yes.
  2102. 1:09:42Because it could be a one-time thing.
2103. 1:09:45But you don't know where it could go if you don't never try.
2104. 1:09:49So along with the trying, never give up.
  2105. 1:09:54Never give up.
  2106. 1:09:55Never quit.
  2107. 1:09:55Never give up.
2108. 1:09:57But try once at least, you know.
  2109. 1:10:00Maybe it don't work out.
2110. 1:10:01You know, I would love to see weird collaborations
  2111. 1:10:05between Coke and Pepsi.
2112. 1:10:07Like, whoop, they came together.
2113. 1:10:09I love seeing stuff like that.
2114. 1:10:11Things that naturally don't work together or collaborate.
  2115. 1:10:19So it's all about the what-ifs, the possibilities,
2116. 1:10:22and just being open and trying at least once.
2117. 1:10:27So, Sensei, I believe everyone wants your product.
2118. 1:10:31And this thing about, I feel like you collaborate
2119. 1:10:33with a good portion of the people.
2120. 1:10:35But who can we hope for you to collaborate in the future?
2121. 1:10:38Who would you like to collaborate in the future, Sensei?
  2122. 1:10:39Because I can think about it.
  2123. 1:10:40You know what I'm saying?
  2124. 1:10:41A lot of people.
2125. 1:10:43Well, if you were asking me this like a month ago,
2126. 1:10:47I'd have probably said David Shands on the podcast summit.
2127. 1:10:50We kind of did in a way and did some interviews
  2128. 1:10:53at Creative Clubhouse.
  2129. 1:10:55Come on, that's major.
  2130. 1:10:56Shout out to y'all.
  2131. 1:10:58That's major.
2132. 1:10:59So, but outside of that, I would say,
2133. 1:11:05I mean, everybody that I'm collaborating with now,
2134. 1:11:08just more, maybe something, music.
  2135. 1:11:15It's crazy.
2136. 1:11:16I know they're not here right now,
2137. 1:11:17but I want to collaborate with Tupac, Michael Jackson,
2138. 1:11:21their legacy and things like that.
  2139. 1:11:23They are progressive, though.
2140. 1:11:26I want to collaborate with companies from the tech industry
2141. 1:11:33because I think my knowledge with media
2142. 1:11:38I think tech has a lot less media attention,
2143. 1:11:42but if I could bring that side and that awareness,
  2144. 1:11:45that visibility,
2145. 1:11:47I think it would just open the world up even more.
2146. 1:11:52It's no specific company or entity,
  2147. 1:11:54but I'm kind of wink-winking,
2148. 1:11:57whoever aligns with my values, goals, beliefs,
2149. 1:12:00and also the money, reach out.
2150. 1:12:04I'm always open to collaborate just about anybody.
  2151. 1:12:06As long as you're positive, have a good story, a mission,
2152. 1:12:11you're not doing nothing negative in the world
  2153. 1:12:13or hurting people.
  2154. 1:12:15I'm willing to collab.
  2155. 1:12:16I'm open.
2156. 1:12:20I mean, that's why I started coming around beauty talk.
2157. 1:12:24I'm like, we got to collab more.
2158. 1:12:25You're getting close to that 100 episode.
2159. 1:12:28I want to be there to see your progress
2160. 1:12:31and everything that you do leading up to this 100th episode.
2161. 1:12:36Like you said, you want to have a live event,
  2162. 1:12:38so I specialize.
2163. 1:12:39Thank you, you and Brie putting that in my ear and my baby.
2164. 1:12:44I specialize with live events.
2165. 1:12:45I want to help you in that,
2166. 1:12:46but to be able to help you,
2167. 1:12:48I got to be around more and understand your process
  2168. 1:12:50and your flow.
  2169. 1:12:52And now I'm learning that better.
2170. 1:12:53It's like, okay, we did the 50th at Tower City.
  2171. 1:12:58I'm about to do 100.
  2172. 1:12:59We did 200 with David Shands.
  2173. 1:13:02So it's like these milestones.
2174. 1:13:05It's like, I want you to focus on the podcast.
2175. 1:13:09Like when it comes to a live event, I got you.
2176. 1:13:12I can help you with that.
  2177. 1:13:13For sure.
  2178. 1:13:14So, you know what I'm saying?
2179. 1:13:15Even with the pull of the spans,
2180. 1:13:16we're about to be on 500 next year.
  2181. 1:13:19Probably next year.
  2182. 1:13:20I guess we'll do something for 350.
  2183. 1:13:21Nah, I think about it.
  2184. 1:13:22Yeah, we can't even, yeah.
  2185. 1:13:26It is, it is.
  2186. 1:13:28Awesome.
2187. 1:13:29Well listen, I think that we know
2188. 1:13:31and y'all know that the legacy for you
2189. 1:13:35is just out of this world.
2190. 1:13:38Okay, you are doing so much from born day to now
2191. 1:13:45and then you continue to do so
2192. 1:13:47and you have to have your daughter
  2193. 1:13:49that is mimicking everything
2194. 1:13:52and really just taking that in as a sponge.
2195. 1:13:54And I can't wait to see what comes about with that
2196. 1:13:57because she's very much very passionate about it.
  2197. 1:14:00Just like her dad.
  2198. 1:14:03So, legacy, legacy, phenomenal.
  2199. 1:14:07It's coming.
2200. 1:14:08And for that, what would you like the legacy
2201. 1:14:11to be for yourself as Stephen D. Jackson?
2202. 1:14:16Or would you like the legacy
  2203. 1:14:17to be for everything?
  2204. 1:14:18Entrepreneur, because I mean,
2205. 1:14:19the list goes on and on.
2206. 1:14:20I can start off with alien eyes, photos,
2207. 1:14:23but it's obviously more underneath that umbrella.
  2208. 1:14:27Personally, is this all,
2209. 1:14:28when people think about alien, or photographer Jackson,
2210. 1:14:34or Steve, or Stephen D. Jackson, one of those names.
  2211. 1:14:41Or even our player,
2212. 1:14:42like just raising that consciousness.
  2213. 1:14:44Like when y'all come around me,
  2214. 1:14:46it's like that intuitiveness,
  2215. 1:14:50that inquisitiveness, that wisdom.
2216. 1:14:53And that's what I'm like, man, who is Stephen?
2217. 1:14:56I'm almost like, what would Jesus do?
  2218. 1:14:58Who is Stephen?
  2219. 1:14:59I said themself quite a bit.
  2220. 1:15:01I ain't gonna lie to y'all.
  2221. 1:15:02Who is Stephen?
  2222. 1:15:03Who is Stephen?
  2223. 1:15:04Right, it's like that moment,
2224. 1:15:07even with alien, when you think about aliens,
2225. 1:15:09what do you think about, or where are they?
  2226. 1:15:13In another galaxy.
2227. 1:15:15And when you think about galaxy,
2228. 1:15:16where is that compared to you,
  2229. 1:15:18in relationship to you?
2230. 1:15:20I mean, born far, far away.
2231. 1:15:22Far away, higher, you'd be higher, like stars.
  2232. 1:15:25Yeah, definitely higher.
2233. 1:15:26Raising your level of thinking, your consciousness,
2234. 1:15:30and just positivity, good energy.
2235. 1:15:35That's the things I want to leave behind in this world
2236. 1:15:39and have that compounding effect,
2237. 1:15:41not just with me, but my businesses,
  2238. 1:15:43my family, everybody that I'm around.
  2239. 1:15:46It's just like, man.
2240. 1:15:49I lost a mentor even before I got into
2241. 1:15:52you know, like photography and video.
2242. 1:15:57It's the Silver B. Richards, you know, RP.
2243. 1:16:02Who I was studying behind in radio,
2244. 1:16:04interning with him in radio.
2245. 1:16:07So just a full circle, me coming back to a podcast
2246. 1:16:10and it reminds me of that,
2247. 1:16:11being in the radio for four years,
2248. 1:16:14reaching that number one spot in different categories.
2249. 1:16:19So it's just about leaving an imprint
2250. 1:16:21with consciousness, positivity, wisdom, and good moments.
  2251. 1:16:28For my business, it's like I said,
2252. 1:16:32with the photos is one thing, the media, yeah, production,
2253. 1:16:37but like that big calamity.
2254. 1:16:40Like when I seen Tyler Perry with his plays
2255. 1:16:43and then some movies to the whole big studio.
  2256. 1:16:48It's amazing.
2257. 1:16:48So I want it to be big as that.
2258. 1:16:53And, you know, have media in different schools
2259. 1:16:57and where people and students, not just students,
2260. 1:17:01but like even older people, you know,
2261. 1:17:03they can learn and take upon
  2262. 1:17:04and even explore, experiment.
2263. 1:17:08And my biggest thing is just with my business
2264. 1:17:10is just experiment and explore
  2265. 1:17:14that exploration, that alien.
  2266. 1:17:17Yeah, I'm telling you.
  2267. 1:17:19Oh, we missed a buzzer.
  2268. 1:17:20It's cool, it's cool.
2269. 1:17:22We're gonna add it in.
  2270. 1:17:23Yeah, there we go.
2271. 1:17:26Well, listen, I mean, we have long awaited this episode,
2272. 1:17:31I mean, for a long time and it's finally come.
  2273. 1:17:35And I know that there's no doubt
2274. 1:17:37that someone that is watching, someone listening
2275. 1:17:39is inspired, encouraged, and just educated now as well
2276. 1:17:45on some of the things, you know,
2277. 1:17:47that you have been able to do and achieve
2278. 1:17:49in your short span of life
2279. 1:17:51because, you know, we've got so much more to go.
2280. 1:17:54So for those that, you know,
2281. 1:17:57do want to take this interview episode
2282. 1:18:01and really wrap it into three gyms,
2283. 1:18:04what would your gyms be for them?
2284. 1:18:08I'm gonna just list a whole bunch
2285. 1:18:10because, you know, for some people,
2286. 1:18:12three maybe is not enough.
2287. 1:18:14Be open, be creative, be collaborative,
2288. 1:18:17always study, being open to learning,
2289. 1:18:20being open to mentors and learning from anybody,
2290. 1:18:23even people younger than you.
2291. 1:18:26But my biggest thing is always elevate.
  2292. 1:18:30Yes, come on.
  2293. 1:18:32Always elevate.
  2294. 1:18:34I like that, I like that a lot.
2295. 1:18:36Three, two, one, even three, two, one.
2296. 1:18:38So a lot of people that know me,
2297. 1:18:40know I have the angel number one, two, three,
2298. 1:18:43three, two, one, any variation of those numbers.
2299. 1:18:45And then my last track wasn't even a song,
2300. 1:18:48it was an affirmation track.
2301. 1:18:51Alien Eyes, affirmations one, two, three.
2302. 1:18:56So shout out to the reverse of this,
2303. 1:18:58three, two, one, episode three, two, one.
2304. 1:19:00Thank you, thank you for having me on.
  2305. 1:19:02So I got to ask Sensei,
2306. 1:19:04and you've been here since the beginning,
2307. 1:19:06but who would you like to see on the full experience
2308. 1:19:08in your opinion next up?
  2309. 1:19:13Oh, I knew that was coming.
2310. 1:19:15I want to see you, you, you, you watching this,
2311. 1:19:22and also the person behind the camera,
2312. 1:19:24Ms. Brianna Casanova, most importantly,
2313. 1:19:27but you, you watching this,
2314. 1:19:29you have to become on the pull-up experience.
  2315. 1:19:31If you have a business,
2316. 1:19:34if you are an entrepreneur,
2317. 1:19:36if you're doing something good in the community,
  2318. 1:19:37if you've got a good story,
2319. 1:19:39you've got to be on the pull-up experience.
2320. 1:19:42You know, you could be all the way up here,
2321. 1:19:46you could be just starting off,
2322. 1:19:47you could be in between.
2323. 1:19:49I do want to see Ms. Brianna Casanova's official episode.
  2324. 1:19:55It's coming, it's coming, it's coming.

2326. 1:19:59But even, even more of a long shot too,
2327. 1:20:01I want to see my daughter, Ms. Sevin Jackson.

  2333. 1:20:15Yeah.
2334. 1:20:16And just want to be able to get flowers, man,
2335. 1:20:17because once again, you have been from the beginning,
2336. 1:20:20not even here from the beginning,
  2337. 1:20:21but you have been, I can't hide it,
  2338. 1:20:24just a staple in the pull-up experience.
2339. 1:20:26There wouldn't be no pull-up experience without your brother.
2340. 1:20:29So we want to thank you for that, man.
2341. 1:20:31I mean, you're the face of it, man.
2342. 1:20:34You know, man, you keep it going though.
