- 0:01Walk on, walk on, walk on back to Alienize Photos Industry Talk.
- 0:10And let's talk about quick results.
- 0:15This is your host, photographer Jackson, Steve Jackson.
- 0:20And I know a lot of people want overnight success,
- 0:25overnight results, overnight solutions.
- 0:31Just for instance, you know, a lot of people get married and many people get divorces.
- 0:39And then I break up, there's still feelings and emotions and attachment and lifestyle and habits and memories.
- 0:49And it takes time. It takes time to heal.
- 0:52You can't just go out the next day and start dating someone else.
- 0:56I mean, you can, but it's not healthy to. You're not healed.
- 1:02You're not taking that moment in time for yourself.
- 1:05You're not refinding yourself, rediscovering yourself, like who you really are outside of this relationship.
- 1:12Because now being a single person again off of this time period or being with this person
- 1:18and doing similar lifestyles, having a combined lifestyle, it is different.
- 1:24It takes time.
- 1:27Just like being a champion.
- 1:32You're not just going to be a champion off of your first, you know, match, your first game, whatever that may be.
- 1:41It takes time and it's a process and then it's the season and then it's the playoffs and there's the actual championship game.
- 1:48And you have to get it, steps to it. Just follow the steps.
- 1:54But a lot of us want to push the button down, wait 20 to 30 seconds and expect money to pop up.
- 2:06You want the bread. You want the bread to pop up.
- 2:09That's what you want. And I get it. I like bread too.
- 2:13You know, the money as you call it, bread.
- 2:17But I do like toast, toast with butter and jelly.
- 2:20That's been a classic growing up.
- 2:24Everybody want these microwave quick results, like put it in the microwave, two minutes later, bing, it's done.
- 2:34And especially with this AI, people are really expecting these results.
- 2:39Like, oh, I don't need a photo shoot. Oh, I don't need video production.
- 2:44Oh, I don't need podcasts.
- 2:47I don't need this. Oh, I don't need a consultant. Oh, I don't need it.
- 2:51I got AI. I got chatty. I got Claude.
- 2:56I got Gemini. I got Grog.
- 3:00I got perplexity. I've been doing my research.
- 3:05Like, AI is not, well, let me take that back.
- 3:09I'm going to say AI is not here to save the day.
- 3:13But to make it your N-R-B-R, you want that quick result.
- 3:21And you put it into work beforehand and then using AI as a tool and then also working with it.
- 3:29And then also using it at the end to wrap it all up.
- 3:35That should be the process.
- 3:37Not just you input into AI and you just roll with it and they controlling you.
- 3:43You work for it.
- 3:44And there's actually a website that's for AI hired humans.
- 3:52So, yeah, it's real.
- 3:53So if that's the case, just go do that versus, you know, whatever AI spits out at you.
- 4:02You take it and roll with it, even with pictures and these flyers and content creation with it.
- 4:12Never take the first one. Just do it again.
- 4:15It's like, give me one more or even say give me two to three versions of this versus just one or whatever they come up with.
- 4:27That's it.
- 4:30And it's going back to that microwave quick results.
- 4:34You want to push the button down on the toaster, wait 20, 30 seconds.
- 4:42And want something magical to pop up like, you wanted to shock you, catch you off guard.
- 4:48Wow, it really happened.
- 4:50It popped. Wow, it's done.
- 4:52I've got the solution.
- 4:54It's finally done.
- 4:56It's finally here.
- 4:57I finally feel success.
- 5:00But to pop that bubble, it takes time.
- 5:07It really takes time, time to build.
- 5:10Time to get the skills to where they need to be.
- 5:15Time for consistency to keep compounded and building.
- 5:19It takes time.
- 5:21And take your time.
- 5:23Don't be afraid and take your time.
- 5:26You have to have patience, especially as a business owner, as an entrepreneur, creative entrepreneur, small business owner,
- 5:38founder, CEO, you have to take that time and take time for yourself.
- 5:48Whether if it's once a week, twice a week, take time for yourself, even if it's a half day.
- 5:58Take that half day for yourself.
- 6:00You know what?
- 6:02This afternoon all the way to the evening and nighttime, this is my time.
- 6:09This is my time once a week, once every two weeks, once every month.
- 6:17But start somewhere.
- 6:22I would say start with one full day and see how it works out for you.
- 6:28Balance out.
- 6:29But you need that time.
- 6:30The time to yourself is powerful.
- 6:33Even having that micro time each day, whether it's just waking up and taking that time, taking that time to meditate,
- 6:40taking that time for yourself, taking your time to reflect, writing your journal.
- 6:47Do what you got to do.
- 6:50That time is for you.
- 6:52Because the world is so, so loud.
- 6:56Like, oh, I can't even hear myself, hear my thoughts.
- 6:58I'm always in different conversations.
- 7:00Oh, I got to network.
- 7:01Oh, I got to do this production.
- 7:02Oh, I got to direct.
- 7:04Oh, I got to have this consultation.
- 7:06Oh, I got to have this pre-production call, this discovery call.
- 7:09Oh, I got to do this sales call.
- 7:10Oh, I got to do this email.
- 7:12This world is so loud and so much going on at once.
- 7:16So many things going on at the same time at once.
- 7:24So loud.
- 7:25I want to hear myself.
- 7:27I want to be one with myself.
- 7:31It's cool to be one with the world, but you must first be one with yourself, especially as a solo entrepreneur.
- 7:42It's important because you want the right people around you once you start adding team members and hiring and getting interns
- 7:52and consultants, accountants, lawyers, like all of that.
- 7:59You want to have the right people in place and people that you can trust and that are skillful.
- 8:06So when you have that moment and that time away and be able to take months off, you know,
- 8:15even a year if you wanted to have the right people in place,
- 8:19you train them and you know their skills, you know their value, their worth, their worth and their work ethic.
- 8:27Like, it takes time.
- 8:31It really, really takes time.
- 8:37And remember, you are your own competition.
- 8:42You are to get better each day and not wait for things to just go of course.
- 8:55Like magically something's going to happen by complaining.
- 9:03So take that step back.
- 9:06Be consistent and doing great things.
- 9:09Reach for perfection, the awesomeness.
- 9:13If you have that and you keep that, all the great things are going to come.
- 9:19All the success that you're dying for and earning for is going to come.
- 9:25All of the things you constantly think about when you're up at night and you land and stand at the ceiling
- 9:30and looking at the wall, these things are going to come with hard work.
- 9:35Get yourself out of that rut.
- 9:39You have to do it.
- 9:40You have to show up for you.
- 9:43You first.
- 9:44Be strong.
- 9:46But you can't wait for quick results.
- 9:49Take that time for yourself.
- 9:53Be patient.
- 9:56The greatness and your time is coming.
- 9:59I promise you.
- 10:01And if you was already there and you kind of got knocked off,
- 10:05guess what?
- 10:05Your time is going to come again.
- 10:11It's going to happen.
- 10:13It's life.
- 10:14It's like hills and valleys, the peaks.
- 10:17Climbing the mountain one time you're up, one time you're down.
- 10:20Or reach the biggest peak.
- 10:22Oh no, look at that.
- 10:23There's something even greater.
- 10:25It's life.
- 10:27Know that it's going to happen.
- 10:28So be patient with it.
- 10:30Be patient with your life.
- 10:37It will all come.
- 10:41Don't rely on these quick results.
- 10:43Don't rely on these magical wishes.
- 10:49The blessings is going to come.
